Outstanding techniques. Everything is stripped away except for the spontaneity of the actor expressed though the precision of the body. Every actor should have some connection to this visionary work.

@altingskamatow these are exercises for actors originally devised by grotowski and his lab in the 60s. they are like scales for musicians or bar exercises for ballet dancers. they are intended to prepare the actor for rehearsal/performance. cieslak explains this. you should ask yourself what exactly you mean by "the human condition" and whether or not you actually mean some other more specific phrase. these are humans doing these things so i don't understand how it is "alien" as you call it.

thaks for video. we study grotovski this summur and cieslak's this plastics. they are really hard to do but so good for developing yourself. and desdoinette that's odin theatre. im glad to watch best player of 20th cent.
