It had kick ass characters who were men and those that were women. And let me add this cherry for the neck beards. George Miller asked his for his wife to edit the movie. She turned it down initially because she has never edited an action movie before. And that was the very reason why Miller asked her to take on the responsibility to edit it. She could bring a whole new perspective to an action film. She went on to win the Oscar that year for editing. And I for one am glad they made that choice, because if not it would be another generic action flick we get churned out year on year.
