Sad. Ben Affleck at his age and circumstance needs a relationship that keeps him grounded. That gives him the feeling of stability. That gives him the sole steady attention to assuage his feelings of lack and insecurity. He needs a woman who can offer herself to give him a constant reassurance that whatever could hapoen to him, and for all that it's worth of sacrificing her own goals to stabilize the relationship he had invested in his choice of her as a partner. And last but not the least, CHILDREN to provide him the shot of reality that there is always a receding process in his man's existence. These and all, Jennifer has none to offer, he assumes now that the honeymoon stage is over. Sad, but they tried at least to see and prove if love can thrive on lust and comfort they once assume for each other. But did not last. Sad.

True, he has to address his demons, like you and the rest of us - but some people like Affleck needs a "crutch" to do it. Perhaps it is beyond his elements that he can do it alone. Thus he seeks this in a partnership with a woman WHOM he thinks is CAPABLE to extricate that demon within. Love helps. Love nurtures. The kind of loving that he prescribes to his own good. And as said in my previous comment - he assumed then that J.Lo could deliver that to him. A lost human that he is, it is his right and entitlement to seek the process of how to find it. Taking the cudgel of his situation that you overrate, the next woman should have perhaps to have contained ENUF LUST, ENUF TIME AND DEVOTION OR ENUF SOUL TO PERDUADE HIM TO LOOK AND SEEK PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE. Indian weddings don't have colour codes. Family is very important, esp. parents and siblings. They put in their time and energy and money unlike in western countries where the bride and groom have to self-fund. The bride and groom traditionally are only on the dais. It's first circle that is all over the place. It's not about upstaging but 10:00 about family taking responsibility for the organizing and love being poured in by the family. Though both families are wealthy, the Ambanis being much wealthier have taken charge of the spending and planning. That's being gracious. It's the organizing family, quite naturally, that will be seen all around because they need to be all around to get work done. It's not about just smiling and posing but about working hard with less sleep that gets everything done. Try organizing something as big as this and experience the efforts involved!
