I used another brand of dryer sheet. It didn't work.
@virginia294914 күн бұрын
I used a cheap brand from the drug store, heated the iron up to high, folded a tea towel up (like she did), but I put about 3 or 4 sheets of paper towel on top of the tea towel and then put the opened up dryer sheet on top of the paper towel. I ran the iron over it a couple of times and that got most of it and then ran the side edges of the iron over it and it ALL came off. I live in Canada so we have different brands of dryer sheets but they all smell the same so must be similar. Try again with the paper towel underneath. When I was finished the paper towel was yellow as though the stuff had been absorbed by the paper towel. The tea towel underneath was fine - but I am glad I used the paper towel between the dryer sheet and tea towel.

thats a good plan. The iron can be too hot if they are thin dryer sheets

I think that, while it does not necessarily have a shawl collar, the Olympia Dress by Love Notions uses a similar technique at the shoulders.

Victoria, does it matter how hard you pressed when applying the chalk?
@BeautifulThingscraftandsewing2 ай бұрын
I don't think so, but it would depend what chalk you use. If it's oil based this technique may not work

Wow! You look fab.I love the jumpsuit on you,it really suits your shape.The way you put together your festival outfit looks just perfect. The pink dress looks lovely on you.Have you tried wrapping the ties to the front and then putting a belt over it,maybe your black one?This might stop it feeling so "office".

I am also big busted and the fit on your first dress is amazing.The colour and style look fab on you. I like your last dress,it also fits you beautifully and looks lovely on you. I liked your pants suit but I can see what you mean.However,I didn't notice anything until you pointed it out. You might find lengthening the crotch and lengthening the top ratio would allow it to fall better.It seems a shame to relegate it to the poufee.
