I think this piece was interesting but what happens to all of the paint at the end? Do you discard it? Also I noticed you wiping your brushes in some liquid, was that water? I don’t know but why didn’t you go for emphasizing the trees at the back?

Thank you for sharing your work in such a way though how do you decide when to stop? Also while working how often do you glance at your reference or do you sometimes sort of free ball it? I didn’t quite understood the use of black near the end, it seemed a bit bold to me as it hid some of the hue in the shadow of the ships. Again, thanks for sharing your work sir.

From the reference photo I see a strip of blue under the white line that marks the beach and that breaks the dry land and the reflection of the trees that are reflected on the surface of the water.
