Making more more episodes is silly. You might make one or two more, max. This channel will die. You "should" have abdicated the throne and passed the channel to two of the underclassmen. Then just make guest appearances as the "queen mum".

Liz and Georgia, much love to both of you (and to Cayla King!) for all that you accomplished while at VT. Georgia, PLEASE don't be distracted by the hateful comments that have been directed at you. Those comments, while hurtful, are from a very small minority of Hokie Nation. The HUGE majority of Hokie Nation love and adore you and will continue to cheer for you no matter where you play. And please, please continue the Queens of Cassell podcasts so that we might keep up with you both. You will ALWAYS be part of Hokie Nation. ❤

G I hope all is well for you. I fully support the choice you made, and in this life you will learn that the people you want around will be behind you no matter what. If it weren’t the right choice, I would say so. (Even If it didnt matter...😂) Next chapter, moving on, etc… perfect title… but you really have to do that, so own it. Look at it as a bonus year and in all seriousness use whatever lead-way KB gives you and play YOUR GAME and have FUN. It is in my opinion that you have the ability (no BS) to be the best player in the country next season. The best of the best never feel pressure, they relish in it. You will have fans that hate you, and love you… embrace both. They’re equally necessary for balance and you have accomplished a profound ability to create emotion in strangers… That makes you great. Happiness and sadness/fear/anxiety create the same response by your body. The difference in the two is how your brain processes it. Only process the happiness/good. If it isn’t gold, don’t hold onto it! You’re amazing and 1/1. Good luck and safe travels internationally. 💙

Georgia, I hope you are able to read this and if not Liz please send this message to her- You put your heart and soul into the last 4 years playing at Virginia Tech. What you and Liz were able to do for the program throughout your time will never go unnoticed and we will always and forever be so thankful and proud of you. It is unfortunate that you have gotten such a negative response from your decision to follow your coach and transfer. Virginia tech is a 4 year university and a collegiate career without injuries is the same amount of time. Becuase of covid, circumstances changed and it absolutely made sense for you to follow your coach for your last year of eligibility. Regardless, it is no one business why you transfered even if your coach didn’t leave. It is your life and your career and everyone has different experiences and different reasons and you need to choose what’s best for yourself. The choices and decisions you make now will affect your life in the future and that’s what people don’t understand. Do not ever feel guilty for putting yourself and your career first. Please never let the haters get to you and always know how much you mean to the hokies. You put your all into the program and you should know how thankful everyone is of you. People don’t understand how a good majority of players usually follow their coach in every sport. Your coach is the one who invested in you as a player and partly shaped you into the person you are. He was with you through the last 4 years, and it obviously makes sense for your last year to continue to be with him. You are also not a traitor, and never have been. It’s sad that’s the reaction the fans have been giving you but the amount of people per year entering the transfer portal is insane, and everyone has their own reasons. you were at the same school for 4 years, which is very rare for a lot of players. no one i have ever seen has gotten this bad of a reaction so i hope you know how unreasonable the fans are being to you and how their behavior is not okay or acceptable. it’s sad some people are just salty and can’t be proud of you. In terms of your teammates, i am also so sorry about that. they were supposed to be your sisters for life and if they aren’t able to support the fact that you are leaving, then they were never real friends to begin with. Them not speaking to you shows their true colors and at least you know now who will always be there for you vs who won’t. I hope you know there are so many more people in your corner and you will continue to find people that will have your back no matter what. I wish your teammates were supportive and proud of you, but there’s always going to be people in life that don’t have your best interest. In terms of the hate and death threats, ignore it. miserable people do miserable things. Like i said before, you aren’t a traitor. You already graduated from the school, what you decide to do after is on you. You already put 4 years in, you aren’t obligated to give your last year considering your coach is gone. You came to the school for coach brooks, and you will be transferring for him as well. I am proud of you and can’t wait to watch you kill it at kentucky. you deserve the world and just know anyone rational has your back. The fans who are hating have issues on their own, and just never let it affect you. You will always be a hokie for life and always be proud of yourself and what you have been able to do. Love you so much and keep your head up. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Liz and Georgia, I will always be grateful for what you did for VT. Kenny Brooks will always have my greatest respect and admiration for the work he did to raise you up to the best duo in the country on one of the greatest teams in the country. Sports does not build character - GREAT COACHES and GREAT Parents build character, and the two of you are among the finest women to ever attend VT. I will always be a Hokie and support our teams, but that doesn't mean that I can't also watch Kentucky Women's Basketball. It is not being a traitor, it is paying unwavering respect to people who have done so much for all of us!! I look forward to watching VTWBB next season AND watching Coach Brookes, Georgia, and Clara, and cheering you on to a great season at Kentucky.

So sad you and Kenny are going elsewhere, but still cheering for you and so happy you were part of our family the past four years. I'll be paying much closer attention to UK ball this year and root for you guys in every game, except if you ever play VT! Liz, looking forward to seeing you in an Aces uniform next year, and seeing you and your family around town when you get here!

The vast majority of comments I’ve read and heard express gratitude to Georgia and wish her well. Negative comments are part of the game as well. Any athlete knows that, and they can take that for what it’s worth. Clearly there are some folks out there who are taking things way too far. But to allow them to leave a bad taste in your mouth about VT as a whole would be shortsighted. Focus instead on the positives. Remember your accomplishments. Remember the fans who supported you. Remember the donors who helped make your education and your experience possible (yes - Georgia gave four years of heart and soul, but VT gave her the opportunity and Hokie Nation made her scholarship possible. This was not a one way street.) Yes, Georgia’s decision was based on what’s best for her. And clearly folks have gone too far with reactions - their behavior is inexcusable. But perhaps someday Georgia and Liz will be able to look at it from a perspective other than their own and recognize that KB’s handling of the situation - his complete lack of regard for the VT community - played a HUGE role in public perception and reaction for all who are following him. Thanks for the memories #5.

Yes you will always be Queens of Cassell! I hope you keep making a podcast together because we the people want updates. Rebranding makes sense (i.e. podcast 'By The Book' -> 'How to be fine') and if you want to pass the name to the girls left behind that would be nice, but please put your catch-ups in the same feed for us. Thank you for all your hard work these last 4 years and what you have done for the program and women's sports in general. You two are legends and I can't wait to see how your pro careers go. Georgia - congrats on your shiny new degree! Liz - I hope your recovery is speedy and complete! Good luck ladies!

Congratulations Liz for being an Aces player now. Will wait with bated breath to watch you play professionally. And Georgia …. I am and always will be a fan of yours. Those who are talking down at you were the same people who were being a couch potato critics . As if they were coaches . Congratulations for being a VT graduate this year Georgia . I guarantee the people who are calling you (Georgia) and Coach Kenny Brooks traitors are probably bullies . I bet you will once again be a “teacher” for the Kentucky team . They are so lucky to have you. And coach Kenny Brooks had a chance to go to greater heights as a coach . Please do more Queens of Castle podcasts !
