Howdy. Good video. Just got mine together. One question. Why do they have the Delta knob bolt. Is this umbrella supposed to be able to change the angle? It’s hinged at both connections at the tree support. Thanks. Ed

@@edsmithmusic98 thanks ..: I believe that so you can take it down and fold it up slightly for storage . Not to adjust the angle while in use … thanks for watching . I have 5 of them !! And love them soo much , I hope Guide Gear never stops making them. One of my originals I even redid the material after years with a camo trap from harbor freight .

That's not that low, the clover should bounce back fine with a little rain, I just mowed a spot and it had nothing hardly left on it and it's been dry here and the clover has exploded back, your gonna be fine!

I hope those loggers will be finished this year. It may not bother the does/fawns/young bucks, but it could cause some problems with the older bucks daylighting. Definitely a long-term win for the area. 💯 Perhaps this could have been the summer you had some TSI done concurrently to ensure the flow of cover onto your property. 🤔 ⬆️Assuming you have mature forest that matches the neighbors

@@brushcrawler8612 I had a very small TSI . 4 truck loads removed . The neighbors are straight up Deforesting !! 🤯🤯 … they are old . I guess just cashing out the land for their grandkids . Idk !! . Plus i liked to do a little at a time . Right now on 3 sides of me I am The only woods left !! It’s nuts

@@JBesqlol I have 2 . I am such a control freak. I feel more control with my tiny spreader. So I make way more fill ups 🤦🏻‍♂️ I know not the most effective. But I like it 👍🏼 plus my sticker looks so nice on it 😂🤣

Be careful with those thermals. Love multi trunk tree set ups, especially when saddle hunting. It's nice to have another trunk to lean on.

Thermals suck out below and behind me in that stand in afternoons as temp comes down. There’s an elevation change that makes for a sink …. In morning as they come up. Wind should push into neighbors high canopy open timber . . I Am only 45 yards off property line at base of stand tree

At least put T-posts in and no trespassing signs to maintain the border at that log landing and back fence. Try Voss signs. High quality aluminum.

Looking good. Especially that miscanthus. Can’t wait to see the new exclusion cage results. Never saw that mix before but gave me an idea to throw out the rest of my buckwheat I had left over from June planting. As you saw, my Bw came up big but they did nibble it while young on the sides of the plots. Chicory might be in the mix next year. Can you fall plant that. Never used it.

Yes you can, it’s slower to establish at first like clover , but then the chicory🥬 really handles browse well

@@JBesq chicory is also perennial. Does fairly well but is on bitter side. Some deer love it and some dont much care for it

Wish I had some rain close. I want to get my plots in. That miscanthus there looks fantastic! Hopefully your carbon load does well. I like Al’s approach. You do have an awesome opportunity to have a really good perennial clover patch. I’d take advantage in one area. You may not get a good kill on that clover with straight gly which may make it hard on the carbon load.

Yeah I know gly doesn’t always get that clover . We shall see . I am mostly hoping it slows it down to allow the CLoad to really fill in between …. Either way I know I am coming up with food for my Deer . … I just need more Bucks !! 🦌🦌

Thanks my PH-5.6 …. My CEC-8.2 … my organic matter-7.4% … I gotta lime some more and get that plot up a bit more . But I am happy with my numbers this far

Unfortunately my apple trees are in an off year. 😢 However, I think my tree pruning over the last 3 years has increased the number of apples on each tree during off years. There may be 30-40 per tree at most on the red apples and the green apple trees only have a couple.

@@P.Hoover I am not sure was here when I bought the property (but I feel like 20plus years) . I groomed it with some limb cutting and fertilizer in spring every year . This year is its best bloom/fruit production year

Amazing. Buckwheat prob does better on its own but clearly you have customers. I’m torn on perennial vs annual so I can cut back on time but I’m in ag country so I’m thinking I need to offer more or different than what’s around me. It’s a grind.

I agree with needing diff. I had clover all spring and summer and it. Looks amazing . But the area has a lot of clover …. It pains me to GLY it yesterday , but it is what it is . Went with “Carbon Load” by vitalized seed this fall .

I think I’d be tempted to Imox that plot and turn it into a perennial clover and chicory plot. Cheaper in the long run and you already have a great stand of clover. Just thicken up this fall and then frost seed in spring if you need to. Hot chic or comeback kid from domain.

My biggest hang up is that I want something other than clover . So much of my area has wild clover mixed in and around peoples propteries in area . I want a different attractant plant . Give those deers something else for thier pallets , make them wanna come to me that’s why I am going to add the chicory / rye ….. Maybe oats instead of rye this year

@@figandcloverranch5871 Understand that.. I am wanting to flip one of my plots to perennial but its hard to make that adjustment. I always think back to some pros who have said, If they could only plant 1 thing for deer, it would be clover.. So I am going to make a go at it. Ill save my other spot for annual plantings.

@@thebowtroll GMG is to extend my screening wall . As i pass at the road 150 yards away the deer are still seeing me thru the high canopy tree line . I staggered the row because I still want the deer 🦌🦌🦌to be able to enter from that Same direction
