Aww Sally James is a surprisingly astute interviewer, Kate is obviously really young and shy and everyone in the 70's used to rip the pss out of her. That was really sweet

Testament of the incredible power of Kate Bush is how artists in completely different genres admire her. She has hard core fans among rappers and heavy metal artists because she is so unique (and beautiful).

The Dreaming was the unwanted, so called ugly child to her record company, EMI, but this "commercial suicide note" became a stunning, beautiful, if slightly strsnge, swan. I think it's her best album. No quarter given, none taken. The Ninth Wave suite of songs is wonderful too.

Lionheart is nowhere near being her weakest album. It holds up very well. Its better than maybe even Kate Bush thinks.

The only person who could persuade me to go vegetarian is Kate Bush, only if I got to meet her in real life, which sadly, will almost certaintly never happen.

So frustrating that we can make visual arts from 1915-1930 look crystal clear and like they were created yesterday in Ultra HD because they were created on film, but video from 1970-2000 looks like ones' cataracts have cataracts. And so unfortunate that all of Kate's performances and interviews fall into this video black hole. We can never see any of her work as intended. The best HD of any of her performances in her lifetime is some rogue guy who illicitly propped his phone up on the railing halfway back in the audience for "Before the Dawn"

She occupies the same stratospheric brilliance in the _Art of the Song_ as Dylan, Hendrix, Bowie, Young, Mitchell, Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Springsteen, Joel, Prince, Nirvana. She quite possibly is the most fabulous female artist of all time.

prince not a good collaborator , he genuinely loved her music (well hounds of love) and was likely in awe of her female goddess traits, but much like what he tried with Joni ..didn't really get it and just saw it as a chance to have them singing a Prince song as opposed to a meeting of ideas. Alot of that doesn't work, though i make him right to focus on the verse part , it wasn't his call ...

She’s always been so humble and sweet and down to earth. I love watching these early moments of her knowing just how successful she remained but also how grounded and real she stayed too.

I believe she is an artist in the truest sense of the word, and I love that appreciation for her work has regenerated itself - which wouldn’t have happened if her work wasn’t as deeply connected to the timeless human experience as it is - without the need for her to promote it fo all these years. So many of the characters that she brings to life in her music are amazing but it seems the most extraordinary one is the very private Kate Bush herself.😊
