So it has been a year.. what are your thoughts on this? Did you keep it installed? Was the wind between the cowl and the windshield noisy or cause any buffeting? How well did it keep wind off your chest? I'm considering doing the same thing for my Rebel.
@EastCoastMotoАй бұрын
It’s worked well. Keeps it’s mostly off the chest and I don’t get buffeting on my helmet. I don’t do a ton of highway riding and I find the back road/city riding to be optimal with this setup.

Hi Excellent look type off road i love it!! i have a question for you, i also have the kawa versys 650, i want to take a little off road rides, i drive 60% city, 30% travel and 10% off road, so my question is, how is you're experience with Shinko E705 do you think are good to ride on Highway? how is the behaviour in rain? how is the behaviour of versys off road? i love the versys, but sometimes i want to take some off road to enjoy...

Yep I recommend them for the price. Good tires for a little bit of off road.

I've been looking at the Mustang and Corbin seats. Mustangs seem to be out of stock. Does anyone have any thoughts on these?
@EastCoastMoto4 ай бұрын
Corbin and mustang seats are much better overall. But it will cost you. This seat provides a larger base with more cushion. It is much better than stock. I don’t think it will last a long time though.

I feel like Kawasaki looked at all the ADV riders and said *this* is what you want... and most of us are like "yeah..."
@andrewroberts61235 ай бұрын
The Versys 650 isn't an ADV Motorcycle. ADV Motorcycles must have a front wheel minimum size 19". (Typically spoked) The Versys 650 has a 17" front wheel. It's a Sport Touring Motorcycle, with some off-road abilities. (It's still the best, overall motorcycle on the road, though). (Best bang for your buck). (Most fun for your money). (Most miles from your machine). (Cool Legs, not blistering shins).
@adam3465 ай бұрын
@@andrewroberts6123 my point was a bit of a dig at people who buy ADV bikes... most want a sport-touring but if they find a fire-road or logging road want the option to take it.. but (and this is just personal opinion) 90% of people will never really use an ADV for it's intended purpose.. people just like the flexibility. My feeling on it is "anything is an adv bike if you are brave enough".
@andrewroberts61235 ай бұрын
@@adam346 I'm not sure about your claim of 90% . (Perhaps you're correct, though). A more prevalent, (and serious) issue is the 99% of motorcyclists who buy Sport-Racing Motorcycles, and never ride them on a Track. Any motorcycle that's your daily rider should have a comfortable seat, and the engine must run cool enough that it won't blister your shins, on long rides. I don't do any serious off-roading on my Versys 650. (I do a little bit of off-roading, though) I ride with cool legs & a comfortable ass. (I bought the perfect motorcycle).

Been riding for 50 years, mostly big sport bikes but now I own a 2008 xt250 and I have to say it does exactly what it was intended to do and is one of my favorite bikes. I can go anywhere I want and it’s as reliable as a steel ball. I was lucky enough to find one with 2700 miles on it and for $1400 I took it home. It had been sitting up a few years so I had to do some carb work but it was well worth it. Now it has 5500 on it with no problems. What tire are you running? I am using a kenda that looks similar.
@EastCoastMoto8 ай бұрын
It depends what you use it for. the Kenda k270 is a great 50/50 tire. However I’m mostly off-road and run Kenda trackmaster 2. These are both budget tires, but are excellent bang for buck.
