Any tips for doing a skylight on a step van with a flat bowed roof? The bow is a real subtle arch but allows water to go to the sides easier. And the original roof is a transparent fiberglass like you see in fed ex or ups trucks but then I added a layer of 1/4 " cork underlay and then 1 large piece of thin aluminum roofing coil over the back with rivets.

Thanks for your video I was wondering if there should be a sealant between that top aluminum flashing and the glass? Seems like water would get in there on top. I got a step van with a bowed roof and I've been researching this. Guessing that putty is buytyl liked how you did that and the sealant. I used silicon on top of some doors I made in the back and it didn't stick that well to the aluminum and some peeled off so a little leery of that one.

I know of an antenna that would be better but I dont want to spill the beans if its the one you thought of. Me being a ham radio operator know about antennas being UHF it would be practical to build a UHF version. Lots of gain. I would use solid bare copper ground wire. 73

Nice to review what i saw years ago. This antenna is like the radio shack antenna that dad bought for me to put up on our farm south of Erie PA. Good design but i bet the rabbit fence works better for a reflector. Which was used on the screen bow tie antenna yesrs ago. If i could find the materials i would build this antenna. I dont like using wood. Plastic is much better and doesn't get water logged. Thanks Danny 73
