Yes, you should be able to do a "save as" and change the file type to a PDF. That being done, the PDF version of the doc should have the same clickable working links that the origiWird doc has.

Thank you. If you select plain text you can use the tab button to go to the next fillable field. But if you use the Rich Text you can not tab to the next field. Is there a way to use the Rich text, so the person filling out the form can change color or manipulate the text, and still maintain the tab to the next fillable field? Does this make sense? Thanks!

If you mean you want to place a Content Control inside of a text box, then yes, you can do it easily. Just create a text box. Click inside it, and be sure to press the Spacebar at least once or twice. Then use your Left Arrow key on the keyboard to move the flashing cursor back over to the farthest left-hand space. Then insert whatever Content Control you want, such as a drop-down list, combo-box list, checkbox, or rich text entry box. Then, if you intend to include any regular text, use the Right Arrow key on the keyboard to move the flashing cursor to the right of the Content Control item you inserted. Then start typing.

I've watched this 10 times and followed directions to a T - and the text will not turn or stay gray? Is there a setting somewhere keeping it from going gray?

Hmm. There might be a couple of reasons why yours doesn't turn gray. Are you using the full version of Microsoft Word 365 or 2019 for PC's? Because if you are using any other version that might be the trouble. A "wrong" version might be if you're using Word for a Mac computer. Or another "wrong" one could be the free version of Office or Word online. Those software versions might not work the same as Word 365 or 2019 for PC's. Another possibility is that someone altered one or more Word settings on your computer. You can resolve that by entering the Background and exploring things there (click File and in the very bottom left corner click Options).

I simply type, using the video's example, the letter "F" before the period. Then, I delete/backspace everything before the "F" and then proceed to type "First Name." It works for me, hopefully it does for you too. 🙂

I had the same issues, my local MS Word 365 kept loading files as compatability mode and I needed to convert. I am not sure why I deeded to convert as I was saving them as .docx. Went into Trust Centre enabled all macros and Active X, still cluld not insert a check box even after I shut dowmn and rebooted the machine. I went to the online verions,. and again no menu for the developer tab, ...then a second thought, I created a blank document from Word Online 365, saved it to my desktop and then used my desktop version to load the same blank word doc, and now the checkbox options work....wow..three hours later and ten videos ...what is the big deal about developer tab, why does Microsoft have to make it a big deal, just have the MS Word package fully optimised out of the box...I hope this helps cheers
