Is this an AI video? seems like it. also this looks like a perfect thing for billionaires. Hopefully it will be like that Submarine. and then we can get rid of the blight on the planet earth once and for all. Down with the ruling class.

Won´t happen soon. The US is spending too much on the MIC, and a soaring national debt cancelles just about everything interesting or innovating. Realism... China on the other hand might pull it off sooner.

An incredible, inspiring vision! I've always assumed that 'rotation' would mean 'gravity' and always wondered why we haven't done more to build pilot stations to test the idea. Key question, however - how does one maintain the centrifugal balance on a large, rotating wheel like this?

That's awesome mate, we need more guys like this to remind us were we should be! Large scale orbital construction projects. Whatever the main building material is it will need radiation shielding quality's. Have you solved the fusion problem in a vacuum? Their will be so many un known variables in that construction environment and the primary source of building material as i understand it will be a ongoing problem. Could you considered the moon's regolith instead?

Humans will not like living in rotating space stations. The coriollis effect is bad unless the station is absolutely huge.

Instead of aluminium, just build it out of the same materials as Space X rockets...They used stainless steel. Probably save on cost and the supply chain is establish for the Space X logistics. Then again aluminium is lighter and has the same durability. Maybe they rather be working out the kinks for the heat shield. Anyway, two sources of materials is a good thing too. Beside the dormant supply logistic chains for the NAVY LCS, Boeing aircraft, and etc....it might be a good thing.

This might sound stupid, but how do we get oxygen? I know there would be a huge storage tank but is it possible to create oxygen ? Or would we have trees or? 😂 I have no idea what I'm talking abt clearly

The space stations can also be made to have mobility ,be stackable, rockets or ships used as directional thrusters, Creating a object to have more than one purpose, becomes more efficient at completing a required action. 🤍🌈🥰

No way as many people as your assuming will be able to afford this, will be able to afford this. There aren’t enough millionaires and billionaires to make the trips needed to sustain the business model. It a fantastic dream, but that just it, a dream. It may be possible if industry and governments invest and use it. But public money will never be enough to do it.

There are 1.4 million people in America worth over $10 million. Most will bring their spouse or significant other. This business model works. But as we build more VERA stations our prices will drop. As we build bigger stations our prices will drop. This business model follows the manner that Henry Ford used to dominate the automobile industry 100 years ago: Keep making your product better and cheaper and you will win.

The ability to open the assembly ring and join it with other assembly rings for the construction of larger diameter Tores would be a wase upgrade to accommodate future habitat and agricultural habitat needs. also including a straight cylinder capability for O'Neil cylinder construction would be desirable from a utilitarian standpoint. That way you could build any size or type of cylinder space station that a customer would like with one machine design with one or more machines.

building a tourus in space is great but how many tonnes of breatable air would it take to pressurise that, then theres all the internal structures and divisions, so yeah you could create a tin can tourus in weeks, but it would be years before it could offer anything safe to inhabit, hundreds of material and air launches... and a cost of billions

What about the vertigo problems of rotating stations? That is a big problem for these kind of stations. I would not make so many Windows, but rather use lcd screens posing as windows, with a stationary camera that will give the illusion of not moving. Every section of the ring his own camera. And only service Windows.

Tube stations or Egg stations do sound like intriguing ideas. Adding gravity could definitely enhance the experience, whether through a gravity pulse field, turbine driven, or something similar involving iron balls with magnetic aid. It's a fascinating concept that could revolutionize space habitats.
