Hi Sir, Could it fit also on Duke 890 R ? They didn’t mention it. Maybe it’s more powerful and has stiffer clutch springs? Furthermore, Seems that slave cylinder has not a nut but it’s kept in place by the actuator shaft. Doesn’t it shake because of vibrations? Thank you in advance

I found a solution to the center bolt problem! I went to the store and found a "cross dowel" and used that. A cross dowel is a barrel shaped nut that has a hole in the side that is threaded. You insert into the crast bar tube, assemble, and then you thread a bolt into the cross dowel. So much easier and really simple. Touratech should have just supplied one from the start!

I just brought the exact same bike, but not sure if upper crash bars are even needed due to the bike not laying flat because of the boxer motor

If you loop the bike, which most people wont. An upper crash bar isn't even needed.

Great tutorial. I just got an XT2 and getting used to it now. Coming from a zumo 390 so big step up. If you don't mind I have one question. My very first Garmin would automatically re-route to the next waypoint if you skipped a waypoint. I've noticed on the XT2 and my 390 it won't do that. If continues to keep routing to the missed waypoint. How do we skip a waypoint so it will re-route to the next waypoint? TIA.

For years now BMW GS and GSA owners have been threatened with the broken headlight boogie man by every parts hustler on the planet! Yet in all that time, I’ve never seen a sliver of evidence proving it ever happens! Never seen a video, never seen a photo, of the problem these products claim to prevent. Add to that the medicine is often worse than the disease-as is shown here! My bike is covered by comprehensive insurance; that’s good enough for me!

This product doesn't have to be RAM mounted. It can be bolted hard to a 1/2" crossbar or one of our many GPS bracket adapters.

I'm finally replacing my old Zumo 550 and its old Touratech locking mount with an XT2 & mount. Is the XT2 locking mount pretty much the same setup as this XT one at least as far as mounting hardware goes? I have a Touratech 1/2" crossbar I got back when I got the 550 originally.
@TouratechUSA
@TouratechUSA 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, our XT and XT2 mounts will attach to that same 12mm crossbar that you were using for the 550. Thanks for the question and congratulations on the upgrade.

Thanks for the great overview. I live in Ontario and ride quite often in the US. I was using a Montana 600 and 610 for the past 12 years and was able to put the unit menu on the main screen. Is it possible to relocate it for easier assess, or do I have to all the way to the system menu every time to change the units? Thanks for your help.
@TouratechUSA
@TouratechUSA 3 ай бұрын
The Montana units are VERY customizable but the Zumo series is designed to be much simpler to use. I don't think you can customize it that far. Thanks for the comment.

Neat, looks good, nice explanation. But I hate that you waste zip ties on this. Single use plastics, boo, bad.
@TouratechUSA
@TouratechUSA 4 ай бұрын
You're not wrong about that. That particular clamp can be difficult to hold in place while you get the bolt threaded in and this method makes that easier. You could accomplish the same thing with a velcro strap or strong tape or just ask for a helper. You certainly don't have to use that zip tie if you don't want to.
