I do something similar; same fixed day of the week (Fridays) but one workout is Deadlift ME and then front squat rep effort; next week is Squat ME then RDL rep effort

That's a great structure! Excellent "separation" of the movement patterns between the Squat and Deadlift accessories. Thank you for listening & commenting!!!

The guy’s issue is he is actually not pursuing happiness at all. Because he would feel happier if he truly was pursuing happiness. Challenges are always going to exist. He needs far more mental and emotional strength if he is to succeed in the future. As a life coach specializing in lifelong soulmate relationships, I find that most people are not doing what they say they’re doing. If they were, they would have made significant improvements all by themselves and may need someone to help them cross that finish line. Its all in the details. One who doesn’t speak in great detail is not passionate nor serious about accomplishing their goals. I go over this in greater detail within my 75 hours of livestreams, book and one hour video course if anyone is interested. Keep fighting the good fight ♥️🏆

Great podcast Meredith. Very heartfelt! Yes, if we knew the things we knew now. History would be very different! You need to get your man to do a BBing show. It’s hard to take someone seriously when they talk about something they’ve not actually done. 😉 Clients competing, unfortunately, doesn’t give you the same experience as actually competing. (Ps living in a gym was a joke based on your life circumstances. Remember, during that time when you would come in and train with me first thing in the morning. Those were some rock mornings. But no, I was not actually suggesting you live inside the gym. :-) I should have been clearer than I was making a light hearted joke.) just like when the coach took food away and increased cardio. That was done so you could have that end result of winning an overall. That’s why we pay for a Coach, so they make those hard decisions at the end when brain power is very limited due to the Diet. Literally cultures are learning just like the athlete that is doing the show. For example, when Rob first Dieted his mother for contest. He had to read so much spinach that her teeth literally turned green. At the time it was an amusing antidote. But looking back at it I’m sure he wouldn’t run the same diet again because obviously that wasn’t a desirable outcome. I was thinking about it as I listen to this because obviously a lot of it when talking about Coach is in regards to me. Thinking about where I would now improve compared to that time. Honestly, body posture, and core stability were two elements that I did not Coach. But I certainly should have. Thanks for the walk down memory Lane, Meredith. I hope you and Rob are doing great. I enjoy following along with some of these podcasts. 💪

You will not be low in vitamins minerals and everything else. Meat IS highly nutritionally dense and is very bio available. It takes more work to get nutrients from plants they are not very bioavailable. Plants take resources from your body to digest and unlock those minerals. Meat is efficient and provides all nutrients you need. It’s very healthy to get rid of plants. Oxalates and other harmful plant chemicals and anti nutrients will be gone. Cholesterol is a non issue. That’s all based on Ansel Keys and his study is proven fraudulent and was influenced by sugar and corn oil companies. Carnivore is wonderful and I’ve never felt better. I dropped the Mediterranean diet for this and I’m never going back. You’re text book regurgitating manipulated knowledge of the 60’s. Try the carnivore diet people, it is amazing. I’ve never felt better, slept better or have ever been as clear headed as I am now on the carnivore diet. Heck, don’t listen to anyone’s advice regarding good and bad, do YOUR OWN study and try it for 60 days. It’ll change your world.

great podcast man. I think one of the best ways to know that you are recomping (gaining muscle and losing fat) is to track your progress properly with lifts rather than just staring at the mirror/weight scale. if you're progressively overloading then most likely you're program is working.. social media very rarely brings this up..

True!!! Training progression is a great indicator to add when deciding what to track!!!

Shouldn’t the thumbs be up to reduce risk if impingement over time?
@BrutalIronGym
@BrutalIronGym Жыл бұрын
You're 100% right! Performing Lateral Raises with the thumbs up can reduce torque / twisting in the shoulder joint which can reduce impingement, however not everyone would need to make that change, it would more so depend on individual shoulder anatomy / posture. But if someone is experiencing shoulder pain that can be a great adjustment!

NEW SUSCRIBER :) DO YOU RECOMMEND THE HEAVY BAND FOR THIS? THANKS, VERY GOOD VIDEO
@BrutalIronGym
@BrutalIronGym 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for subscribing! And for the question!!! I use a mixture of band tensions in my training depending on what effect I'm looking for. The set up shown in this video shows a full release of the band assistance at lockout which is the way I like to set the bands up no matter what strength of band I'm using. A strong band reduces the leg drive difficulty off the floor and allows for a greater overload of stress during the lockout since you can usually use the most bar weight with strong bands. As you use weaker bands the leg drive portion of the movement becomes more stressed and the bar weight has to go down so you'd have less overload of stress in the lockout, creating a more even stress load through the full range of motion. So, if I want to stress the lockout but reduce the leg drive stress I'll use stronger bands, but, if I want to still incorporate full stress of the leg drive portion while wanting to overload the lockout I'll use smaller, weaker bands. Here is a podcast that explains more information about using bands - www.podbean.com/ew/pb-acufa-bfd428 If you have any other questions send me an email to [email protected] and I'll send you more information! Thank you again for subscribing to the channel!

@@sukie0195 - You may have some tightness / weakness in your forearm extensor muscles, the muscles that would be working to keep your wrist neutral when doing the raise palm down. Couple ideas to try... try the raises palms facing for now to give the extensors a little rest, you can train your wrist extensors with wrist roller and wrist curl exercises and/or the little rubber finger loop extensors you can find on Amazon - type "finger exerciser" and you'll see the little finger loop thing I'm referencing. If you work on your forearm extensors just a few sets a day or every other day within 2 weeks you'll feel stronger and it may then help reduce the pain you're having if you return to trying palms down raises. Give this a try and if it doesn't help let me know and we can look into some other possibilities!!!

@@BrutalIronGym thank you so much for this comment! I am not really a total newbie, I’ve been working in the gym and my home gym for about 3 years pretty intensely ( anything I pick up I tend to do intensely, lol) so I feel I have learned a lot in a short time but definitely have large gaps in my knowledge. I have brought this issue up with a few people and no one has brought up grip strength and wrist strength; which after a little bottle of testing and reading up on; I found I am definitely on the weaker side. Very impressed you figured this out with very little information ans across a comment thread! Thank you so much!
