Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I am not usually very skilled at doing my hair and could use all the help I can get. 😂 My texture is very similar to yours and this helped me to style my new shag haircut in a way that was easy for me to do, has body and movement, but isn’t overly frizzy. Love it!!!

It looks beautiful! Unfortunately I’ve tried this on my hair and it looks great the 1st day but once I sleep on it it looks like crap ☹️

So how is this different from the Wen Cleanser that I used 20 years ago ... certainly not a new concept.

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to watch a video of someone with properly wavy hair going against ALL the "curly girl" things that are all over the internet that simply DO NOT WORK for us 2B-2C wavy gals. I can almost hear the CG community clutching their pearls at the thought of NO DIFFUSER ,lol. This is the perfect way to showcase how the "rules" are not for everyone and the quality of your products ABSOLUTELY matters!

Completely agree. I have a wavy shag and have been trying to style it using all the “curly“ rules. But I wasn’t looking for defined curls - I wanted body and movement. And this is the perfect tutorial. Thanks for sharing. It’s great.

I feel so sorry for this client. She had a beautiful long shag that fit her face shape and the strength of her bone structure, and ended up with some sort of short bob that did neither of those things. It is hair malpractice.

That isnt strawberry blond. That's auburn or a reddish brown. Strawberry blond is light and bright. Blond that is infused with a very light bright orange and maintains its spectrum blond tone.

Does undressed have a heat protectant like lift and dressed up? Thank you for the tutorial- I love Hair Story
@sylvijawildflower2 жыл бұрын
While this was helpful information, I’m sorry to say it was unnecessarily long. Question for Hairstory: does undressed offer heat protection in anyway? If it’s meant to be used with a blow dryer… Or should we seek out heat protection from another product to use in conjunction with this?

This is really not the best way to use New Wash, the model is using it like a traditional shampoo, she just rubs it into her hair. How to use New Wash and get the most out of it - in my experience - 1. Clarify your hair to remove all non-water soluble ingredients, like silicones and waxes. 2. Properly saturate your hair with water, take some time to do that. 3. Take a small amount of New Wash and work it through the lengths of your hair, massage it in and really emulsify it with the water, you want to dilute New Wash a little bit so that it creates “seaweed” like hair. 4. Work some more New Wash into your scalp, make sure to add enough water, then massage your scalp and emulsify the product, your hair should have a lot of slip at this stage. Use a shampoo brush to really clean your scalp. Add enough water, you don’t want to rinse it out, you just want to emulsify it properly. The conditioning effect is so much better if you take a second to properly emulsify New Wash. Just pushing the thick cream all over your head will not give you the best results and you’ll be frustrated. Consider this as a cleansing concentrate. For shoulder length hair I use about 1.5 tbsp. And yes, you can turn your water off, it doesn’t need to run the whole time you wash your hair 😉 5. Put a shower cap on and let it sit until the end of your shower. 6. Rinse, rinse and rinse some more. Lift your hair at the roots and gently shake it whilst water is running through it, take your time, I usually rinse for about a minute, this takes a while but it rinses clean but it takes more effort than regular shampoo. Hope this helps 😍
