You're supposed to test at the valve stem to account for wheel (un)trueness. A super bent wheel will still rotate on a parallel axis, and the RD hanger is made parallel to that axis spin

I think the limitation in tire width must be due to the way the frame is build, I have Campagnolo Super Record brakes on my road bike and Record Direct Mount on my TT bike and with both of them I could ride 30mm tires without any problems (use 25 and 28 though because on good tarmac I like them more...) btw... you said you cannot block the wheels with those brakes? What brake pads do you use? I use the red Campagnolo brake pads and with them I can easily block my wheels without much forces at the lever

Also, in some cases, the indexing could be wrong, and the chain is rubbing against the cassette. Just turn the barrel adjuster at the shifter or the derailleur. 👍

I have the Bora One wheels with tubulars, with 50mm rims they are significantly lighter than even the 33mm Bora WTO's! And they add safety because if you get a flat tire you can still ride on, so you most likely will be able to carefully brake and stop - with clinchers/tubeless with a flat tire you will ride on the hooks and if it's the front tire at high speed a crash is very likely. Therefore I still like riding them in the Alps for safety reasons. But for pure speed you have to go to clinchers with latex tubes or tubeless, the rolling resistance is much lower (sadly tubulars have not been improved since about 15-20 years...), and you really can feel it while riding and at your datas.

nice bike!
@fiddleronthebike15 күн бұрын
I tend to buy the 60s - only 50g more than the 45s and I think it will make a difference in aerodynamics. Btw, I have a pair of the "old" Bora's with tubulars, they where only ~1250g (with Campy freehub) and with light tubs you can safe even more weight; but sadly the manufacturers have stoped developing tubs and so rolling resistance is noticeable higher than with modern tubeless or clincher/latex tires

I have Super Record 12 speed and Shamal Ultra C17 wheels on Seven Cycles Elium GS (titanium/carbon fiber frame). I bought mine second hand through FaceBook for a fraction of the price of new. I am a recreational rider with 3,000 miles per year (Chicago weather limitations). I am thrilled with the Campagnolo components. I switched from Dura Ace 9000 which was a big improvement in shifting precision, lower friction crankset with CULT bearings. The prior wheelset was Dura Ace c35s. The Shamals spin much longer with less effort.

The tool looks quite good, but I am in doubt, the linear Bearings will last very long, when you do a lot´s of re - bending the eyelets of the rear derailleur. I bought one from Ali Express, which is simply made, (you cannot turn the measuring part like on the HAG) but this one will last "for ever", because you can tighten in in any position. And the price for it was appr. 35.-
