I’m not sure if you ever got an answer, but more often than not it’s a water filter that needs to be replaced and then the machine needing to be recalibrated

How do you resolve the issue of the machine only giving the option to brew one side (right or left) but not the other?

What Fetco has done here is to take the Hipster route. You take a simple, straight forward process and hopelessly over-complicate it, thereby making it SEEM more impressive. It's an unusual move, intentionally reducing the potential productivity of any barista, thereby lowering product quality AND profitability for any company crazy enough to continue to use Fetco equipment. Let's see how that works out for them.
