Do you think the airwave 4 pants are wide enough at the knees to use kneebraces (Alpinestars SX-1 V2 style) ?

Design flaw for the Knox is the internal back protector pocket/sleeve. The back protector pocket inside the jacket is solid material vs. mesh which prevents air from flowing out the back and would likely trap moisture between the back pocket/sleeve and your body. If Knox made the entire back protector pocket/sleeve mesh, similar to the Rev It, it would be perfect.

@@MrRplo it's a good point. They probably needed to double up on the material on the back in order to pass CE AA. AFAIK the whole back is considered a slide zone, while the chest is not. On the subject of design flaws and airflow, I think another issue with the Knox is that a skin tight base layer cut is not good for comfort in hot and sticky situations. But again, I think as a whole it does a good enough job of keeping you comfortable, especially compared to the Honister which has no mesh at all.

Great review! Thank you. I am actually considering choosing between this Knox and the Revit Nucleus but there are hardly any reviews of the latter. The Knox is a bit too expensive and the Nucleus is a bit less so. Both might be a bit awkward for my odd measures - in cms. 177 height, 118 chest, 97 waist, 190 "wing-span" and 82 kg - the form fitting might be odd on me. Regards.

Thanks for the comment, gld you found it useful. Rev'it as a whole needs more reviews, I quite like what they're doing. Yeah with those measurements it might be tough to get a perfect fit. The Knox stretches quite a bit so you can definitely get some leeway there though.

@@dblv Hello! I ended up ordering the XXL for the Knox Urbane Pro mk3 (online from Biker Outfit in the Netherlands, I am in Portugal) which arrived yesterday. I was worried that it could be a bit big but it fits me fine, just a tad loose on the waist, but not too long on the waist ant perfect on the chest, shoulders and my long arms. First impressions: very good jacket, a bit warmer than expect when standing still but considerably more vented than my Merlin Shenstone which is also vented. First annoyance: the internal mobile pocket is too high and narrow and that makes it a pain to insert and remove the phone, especially due to the grippy case on the mobile. I believe it has potential to become my most used jacket. Thank you for your review, again.

@@mpimpaophoto2075 Boa tarde. Qualidade do material, conforto, aspecto, refrigeração, bolsos, etc? Vale a pena? Obrigado! Boas curvas! ✌️

@@marioramos6840 Viva!

Thanks for the detailed video. Any idea how this compares to the RS Taichi Kompass Air?
@dblv
@dblv 2 ай бұрын
I'm glad it was useful. I wasn't aware of the Kompass Air until now, but going just off photos and description, think it will be less breathable. The chest and back vents might be enough to keep you alert and functional, but it seems like the arms and arm pits will be sweaty. Also, there's no CE rating on the jacket, so it's hard to know. Could be A equivalent.

Many thanks for the review, I'm still semi-confused though, as to what size. I measure 19cm in length and 21cm around knuckles. Do you think my hand being that touch smaller in length a M would fit me better and i wouldn't have your issue of finger length? Such a shame this glove is barely available in Australia, I can also not go in store and try it on.

@@yusufiliz last year I used Rev'it Livengood GTX down to about 5C on a naked bike. My finger tip still got cold, so grip warmers were helpful even with the glove. The Knox Zero3 (mk2?) gloves also look good but I haven't tried them. If you're planning on riding in -5C, I think you will need a source of heat in addition to whatever glove you choose.

Thx for the video is very explanatory. I just tried XL size today in the shop, i like these gloves very much but it still feels lil bit uncomfortable at palm area. I measured my middle finger after i watch ur vid 20.5 cm, but circumference measurement and the dimensions table definitely sucks. The guy in the shop says it will loose in palm area after a month usage since he uses the same gloves. I think m gonna buy XL. Thx for the vid again..

Yeah as amazing as the concept of protection these things are trying to deliver on they really do fit like shit.. I had to do the same thing. Measured in @ a large, bought an xl expecting fuckery. Still having sizing issues with the leather mk2s. The sliders are like an inch or more high, it doesn't fit the L of either hand worth a shit with a huge gap but all fingers fit nicely other than the thumb being long as described, boa system wire takes fiddling just so it rides where its supposed to on the leather otherwise when tightening it ends up on my wrist.. leather bunches up on the back of the hand with mad pressure points inside due to folds of sewn material digging in your hands. As obnoxiously large as the floating knuckle is with it providing maximum protection, it only seems to provide protection for my little and ring finger knuckles as well as a missed opportunity to provide more venting which it doesn't. Pretty absurd honestly how wonky they are. Wanted to love em, turns out the opposite holds true. They're going back.

Yeah glove sizing especially is quite tough. Have you found any gloves that you love? I've come around on the long thumb on these Orsas: when my palms are on the grips, my thumbs are pushed into the glove and they fit well. The internal sewing is a bit uncomfortable, I agree with you there. Not unbearable, but definitely leaves a lot to be desired. The palm sliders seem fine to me but thankfully I haven't had to test their effectiveness yet. Does the placement look fine to you in the video?

Can you wear these gloves with watch on your wrist? It looks like the boa system would make it uncomfortable
@dblv

I don't wear a watch so I can't say for sure. If you don't fully tighten the boa, and your watch isn't too thick, you might be able to get away with it. Or maybe you could shift the watch further up your forearm. But yes, if I wore a watch, these gloves probably would not be my first choice.
