Audio on this thing is really bad. A more professional presentation would work wonders in more effectively communicating the ideas contained in the interview.

Very nice interview! Mr. Craig brings so much food for thought about historic conservatism! One thing though. I think he unfairly vulgarizes elite theory. I admit I am no expert but I would think that elite theorist are not claiming that anything the “elite” force into society is it’s best option or must be followed. More so that any political system will largely be captured by a minuscule “elite.” So elite theory is less a justification of the uses of power then it is a theory of the inevitable structure of politics. Again I could be off base here but that’s how I understand it and think about it.

Renaissance wasn't due to greek thought being reintroduced, it was because of Islamic thought being introduced. Greek thought infact was the reason behind the stagnation of Middle Earth (more accurate than middle of a direction) it precisely is the adoption of Greek regressive modality of thinking that thought stagnated.

.. as a German Biologist - the Impact we have now for many Years is total Dumbification and Sheeple EASY to manipulate by any Idiot. This will be worse than 1933 - when Demons lead Sheeple to the global Slaughterhouse - and will get worse now. We see new tsunami explosions globally in ever more forms of Addictions in all areas - and the Dumbest worst Leadership ever. The Fake World will Self Chernobyl and we all help to accelerate it

What if the opposite of narcissm is just not another form of hideous suffering? Depersonalisation might be some counter-narcissism perhaps? Do we need not to have some grounding in being "some" "one"? If so this grouding sets as kind of to war or painful friction at least, with the rest, the other

Interesting that she sees KZfaq and video games not as art that drives culture but entertainment. When honestly at least In America video games and the modes of participation in it is becoming the culture. Like speedrunning is literally performance art, fan games, fan art, mods, MMOs really does seem like some sort of expression beyond entertainment. For example Down the rabbit hole (which is a documentary KZfaq channel) has a video on EVE online and that game is an extreme roleplay and creative storytelling that’s reminiscent of the next step in theatre. The players are the actors, game the stage. Guess It just seems sort of a negative value judgement on this new interpretation of culture is weird especially when her book is about documenting a subsection of online culture that has now become material ideology in at least the south where I live. Feels like it’s definitely something to analyze and not really dismiss.

Philips description of palestine supporters wanting "greater international intervention in the conflict" is flat out dishonest. Especially so given one of the primary demands of the protesters is to halt US arms sales to israel so they can no longer carry out their bombardment of gaza. Hence the actual demand of palestine supporters is less international intervention. Also would he condemn people who wanted to sanction aparthied south africa of wanting greater international intervention?

Perhaps the reason why people on the left characterise Israel's assault on gaza as genocidal is because key israeli politicians have constantly anounced their genocidal intent. “We are imposing a complete siege on the city of Gaza. There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly” “This is not about surgical strikes and military infrastructure anymore … This means we will obliterate civilian infrastructure as well. Apartment buildings will be toppled” “‘Remember what Amalek did to you’ … This is a war between the sons of light and the sons of darkness”

Same can be argued for Dobbs decision. Conservatives like legal decisions that are in their favor while dislike that aren't in their favor. Why then liberals should obey SCOTUS's Dobbs and other decisions? I don't how long this unfair legal, political, and constitutional arrangement can hold where permanent minority Republicans will always overrule permanent majority Democrats.

Fun discussion though i would point out that muller charged 14 russians with spreading false info to americans. Also manifort gave internal info as to most important districts, working for "free " in trump camp. Which is collusion. Could not find conspiracy with campaign.

Well made point regarding the reasons why Ireland tries not to rock the EU boat. Everyone here frames it as if the Irish government just loves being the best posterboys in town, I've been (trying to) point out for a while now that there are actually somewhat justifiable reasons for why this happens, FDI being the biggest one. If the Irish government really, really loved being the posterboy for posterboying's sake, we'd let the EU walk over our FDI model and not setup sketch looking tax agreements with Apple. It's a shame we've ended up in this situation and I sincerely hope we find something to replace it, just doesn't seem like anyone is taking the initiative atm.

Asylum Seekers and Refugees? Nope. At the current rate, more than a quarter of the Irish population will have been REPLACED in under 10 years. It's even worse because the vast majority of the replacers are young men, naturally inherently hostile to the population they seek to replace (and exterminate as quickly as possible), entitled to bring extended family (they will rearrange the political landscape to ensure this) - all the way to Zero Irish after making a quick detour through 'aging population'. It's an Imperial Genocide plain and simple. Presumably being run by the very same power-block running the genocide in the middle-east, who permit no criticism, own the bureaucracy and stop at nothing. Why pretend it's anything else?

Social Security is a pay-as-you-go ponzu scheme. Perhaps Mr. Ahmari might explain how 1.2 kids will pay their mother and father’s Social Security benefits. $65,000 per year tax withheld for Social Security.
