She seems quite nervous when talking at the beginning then suddenly launches flawlessly into the performance

Miss (mrs?) Reilly I have listened to this song countless times. I have loved it always and never thought it could get any better. But hearing you sing it some years later is absolutely fantastic. Your voice is grand and I loved seeing you on stage. You made my day, my week, my month and my year! Thank you!

The Seventies, all sorts of music, Radio 1 type pop, then "progressive", whatever that was, Soul, heavy rock, Disco, Punk, Northern Soul, Bands like Dr Feelgood from Canvey Island in Essex, it was all out there. As for listening to it and watching it, there was John Peel's 10 pm show on Radio 1, he played everything slightly obscure, from Punk to the Irish Band, The Chieftains, and never dared to talk over the intros. Me, I listed to it, as well as watching "The Old Grey Whistle Test on BBC2,(In black and white, via a snowy picture on UHF via a dodgy aerial), Radio Caroline, relocated to the Essex coast in 1974, playing all sorts of music, (poor people, marooned on a rust bucket radioship for weeks and weeks at a time, supplies running low, occasional tenders from Spain due to 1967 Marine Offences Act). I first saw Cado Belle on Granada TV's "So It Goes", a late night music show. Will the 'seventies be repeated, possibly. Now the Internet brings us novel stuff, but on mainstream, beware the dreaded Autotune.

Looking forward to part 2 of this interview, very intrigued as to which Beatles album you got for Christmas Maggie. Mine was the Oldies but Goldies collection from Dec '66, that sold the deal for me and have been a lifelong fan ever since, but like yourself the musical thread of my life has taken some very similar paths to yours, and it's always been fun, still is.

Lovely to hear this interview. We are about the same age, and I grew up with Beatles as a starter, and followed your "trail" in a way, up to I heard a song called "Moonlight Shadow". Besides a lot of Swedish bands, I still mostly play your songs, Mike Oldfield, ELO and Beatles. I just stopped develop, sort of. Nowadays I've stagnated totally, when it comes to western music. So I mix your music with asian music. I agree, no one knows where the music is going. But music keeps me alive. Thank You.

Una grabación lamentable. Dos guitarras solistas y ni siquiera tienen cámara para enfocar al de la izquierda con la parte de solo más complicada. Una bufonada. Al menos Maggie conserva la voz, que no todas pueden decir lo mismo a su edad.
