Dommage que l'assemblée ne chante pas... ça aurait rendu tout ça encore plus magnifique.

In 1974 I was on a Euro college choir tour. Although it was Jan, it was gorgeous and like spring in Paris. I went on a walk on my own and after a Kir at Cafe Les Deux Magot, I went into St. Germain des Pres and had the delight to meet assistant organist Odile Bailleux, who took me up to the organ. From 1966, Odile Bailleux was Antoine Reboulot 's deputy at the grand organ of the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and was since 1973, joint holder with André Isoir , in the same position. She has taught organ since 1980 at the Bourg-la-Reine conservatory . She held the grand organ of the Notre-Dame-des-Blancs-Manteaux church in 1990. In 1982, she was a member of the jury of the international organ competition in Bruges. She was most kind and friendly and it was a treat to see the organ console up close.
