I’ve put pickups in over a thousand guitars & when you’ve moved them between guitars one serial number apart and it’s vastly different- you see the truth. We just did a video on two brand new Cort guitars - watch and learn.

Comparing single coil and humbucker? You don't deserve to be called a guitarist 😅

We had a request to do it. We also compare that same fender to another guitars single coil in second video and fender is still the noise king. Not every video is designed for you. Doesn’t require malicious comments.

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to guitars, coming from piano and music production. The Alter switch is really helpful. I had this Ibanez and a Fender Player SSS for comparison, and the Fender is significantly more sensitive for noise issues and has about 10dB less output. But In a direct sound comparison, you can hear that the Fender has more depth and better sound quality, especially in the bridge position... but somehow, the Ibanez inspires me more when playing. Really hard to decide..

Very cool and sounds great! Was the reason for the limited amount made because of a lawsuit with Gibson? I saw something yesterday about Japan being the only place where manufacturers aside from Gibson are able to make guitar with the LP shape

Your Opinion. If you make a statement like that against a crazy rare guitar like this-anyone reads this knows you’ve never played one and it shows how your true colors. We’ve done dozens of blind side by side’s with customers and not one has liked Gibson more ( different Gibsons). I personally like some older ones for a particular tone. But nothing after 83 at Gibson has the quality of wood of most any company in the 70’s. Not mention how collectors are paying more for these vintage lawsuits axes verses the 40% you take in a new Gibson or (often pre owned)See other videos. When you’re played over a thousand different Les Paul’s and show your expertise/examples-we’ll be interested.

And I had that exact ripoff model for $1,000 less than the Gibson and it played and sounded Great. So my next 4 Guitars would all be Ibanez and my Destroyer 2 was just as good as the Gibson Explorer and my Satch and Vai models were just as good as Strats.

Is the bass you are playing a Rogue? I bought a fretless from a lady, but the previous owner had used a Dremel tool to take out the logo. It had the same color knobs, same Jazz and P pickup combo, but had a flying V style headstock. Thanks in advance my friends.

I learned to play 20 years ago on my dad's 1967 Hagstrom III sunburst with the tiniest neck and lowest action you've seen on a guitar. A month ago I picked up this identical Black Hagstrom UltraMax. Played an open mic with it that next night and it was a complete crowd pleaser-great tone and good affinity for bluesy licks and meaty rhythm. If you're of the opinion that it is better than the Gibson, you'll be further delighted to know that it wasn't more than $1000.

Some guitars have noisy pickups. Also outlets can be noisy. Ours was less noisy than most other of 7 new brands we sell new in this price.
@618recordingco.53 ай бұрын
I think the even sound of the Hagstrom is great. I like the second Les Paul as well. The p90 and the Epiphone seem to have components effecting the overall sound. However, I bet that the Hagstrom and the Epiphone are most similar in price, and that Epiphone may need some different parts or something to sound best… the Hagstrom seems pretty much good to go. I like the way you made it a basic review as most people can only do their own research like you did.
@MrStickthrower20013 ай бұрын
The first one needs more tension on the trem springs to bring the bridge down. That will lower the action height as well. Either one is only worth about $30-50 used. If you paid more than $20-25 each you got robbed.

Nice . I have a couple of First Acts . One I bought new from a Target store on a whim and I love that guitar . I still play it quite a bit . The other one I picked up used is ok , playable but could use a neck shim . I had a First Act Strat copy for a bit and it really wasn't any good . I gave it to my step son for a wall hanger . They are hit and miss but as your video shows there are some good ones out there .

From 20 years of shop repair perspective, of repairing these they’re more miss than hit. But we did get one to play well. It’s nice to hear someone likes theirs- so many haters in here.

A new acoustic shouldnt need much setup. The nut shouldnt be glued on before its been filed to at least a decent height. The saddle shouldnt be so far off either. The action on these things are extraordinarilly high.
