too much boat traffic for fishing there. Try at the head of the canal, where it meets the Niagara River

Inconsiderate Kayakers - as usual. By the way - This is NOT the spot! The first hour with one tiny goby caught? Just an hour an a half of a dude watching boats go by on a nice day when people across America were catching fish.

That bush you are casting to always has bass under it. I fish there with my boat. Also, just to your left, right before the marina there is a pile of brush/wood that holds a lot of bass.

caught a big bass near LaSalle park back when the weeds and water was deeper,if you had a little hand size net, you would have caught that bass and no hook to the thumb.I lost plenty of bass when I walked the wall with 5 lures and nothing else. nice fishing though.ty for sharing.

years ago was using a foxy jig, had something huge on the line for 20 min, it did whatever it wanted to for 20 min, then I tried to lift up the line to see what it was and the 8lb line snapped, bothers me still, what was it?carp, northern, musky, it felt like it was 15=20 lbs.

I’m sad when I see people sport fishing. I understand letting something go because you aren’t allowed to have the catch but doing it for the thrill is doing it at the expense of a living being. 😢Fish do have nervous systems and I’m sure it hurts them to be hooked and cut out. Also, they need to be decompressed at times and some people aren’t aware of that so the fish ends up dying. Waste of life. so yes, what a beautiful trip and amazing that you were paddling so much for such a great chunk of length but the sport fishing is cruel.
