hmm that means the plugin can't find the filepath to pythonw.exe. It's supposed to look in your PATH variable to find the correct filepath when you start speech-to-text.. Did you check the "Add python.exe to PATH" box when you installed python?

Yeah that's normal, it's because you're using an older version of the plugin. You can just click the disable safe mode button and the menu should load

@@mettarazu wow that's strange.. it might have something to do with the latest RL update. But Alphaconsole still works for me even after the update, so maybe it's some kind of installation error. It means Rocket League SDK. It gives you the ability to access game objects and functions straight from memory. Unlike the bakkesmod SDK which is intentionally limited, you can do almost anything you want to the game (assuming you know how to implement your idea). Like custom titles, textures, names, spawn items (clientside), change the scale of wheels, ball, see other players' boost, ball trajectory, etc. It basically gives you full control of your client. Even the bakkesmod devs use it themselves (but they love to gatekeep it 🙄) And some kids use it to make mods to sell as paid hax The people who know the most about it (mainly the BM people and those in their circle) don't share how to generate it and even ban some people who ask about it in the discord. So it's up to others to kinda figure it out on their own. It's honestly pretty cringe but it is what it is.. Oh, and someone even made a python version if you're interested (but it's much more limited) pypi.org/project/rlsdk_python/

This isn't an "official" plugin on the BakkesPlugins site bc the bakkes devs cant/wont accept a plugin like this. Psyonix has a bunch of arbitrary rules they request the bakkesmod team to follow in order to keep their "official" support, so the bakkes devs have to comply when it comes to accepting submissions on that site... even if the plugin in question is harmless, wont cause a ban, etc. If Psyonix doesn't want it, the bakkesmod team wont accept it (even though they break Psyonix's rules like crazy within their own personal mods) So yeah, a while ago Psyonix considered custom quickchats as being a possible "competitive advantage" (very dumb, I know), and requested the bakkes team not to accept any such plugins.

@@SSLowRLThanks for the answer. Is there any other site where you can easily find plugins? I'm afraid I'm missing out on a lot of cool plugins because of this. I currently use a self written Python script for my own quickchats and have added a few small features that I don't want to miss out on completely, but the Bakkesmod solution is of course much more practical. However, I can't really cope with C++. Btw the speak to text function doesn't work for me. Do you know why that might be? The default microphone is correctly selected.

I also originally had a python script to do custom quickchats, which was the inspiration for this BM plugin.. it's still on my github page. As for speech-to-text not working.. I wouldn't know the exact cause without doing some troubleshooting, like looking at your bakkesmod.log file. Another user was having trouble, and I've been trying to troubleshoot thru discord.. but the communication hasn't been the best lol. If you want you can msg me on discord about it. I'd like to get to the bottom of this if it's something multiple ppl are experiencing..

Also check the vid description for the ones shown in this vid 👌 There are lots of vids on YT showing how to get custom balls with alphaconsole.. Basically you need to put the image in your alphaconsole ball textures folder, and add the info for the image to the textures JSON file

You can go to Settings → Controls → View/Change Bindings ... to disable the regular RL quickchats. I forgot to mention it in the vid mb

Are you guys both on PC? Lobby and team chats are only visible to other PC players (if they have "Allow Text Chat with Everyone" enabled in Chat settings)

For example AlphaConsole used to support custom ball textures in matches, until psyonix said it could be a "competitive advantage" so they stopped. Even the bakkesmod staff think a lot of the rules are silly (and literally break them in their own personal mods) but they still have to publicly oblige when it comes to accepting submissions on the bakkesplugins site. As for this plugin, it's all client side so you wont get banned. From Psyonix's perspective it looks the same as if you typed and sent a normal text chat

Yes you can press *F6* to open the bakkesmod console window, and any error messages will be shown there. It should give you a clue as to what’s going wrong Sometimes there will be issues if you have multiple mics connected. The speech-to-text goes off of whatever mic is set up as your default in windows sound settings.

Honestly Python is only required for the speech-to-text functionality. If you don’t care about that, then you can actually skip the whole step 2 of installing python.. You might get an error message in Step 3 after running the install script, but it should still install and everything else should work

Hmm maybe it's some kind of permissions error. Try running it as administrator If that doesn't work, you can also just manually copy the .dll file into your bakkesmod plugins folder, and the CustomQuickchat folder into your bakkesmod data folder. That's what the install script is supposed to do

Cool plugin! Is there a way to selectively disable a single regular rl quickchat? Like I would only replace the "Siiiick" on by "Sheeeeeesh", but it keep the regular ones on the side

Not that I’m aware of.. I think the best you can do is disable a single category of RL quickchats in the View/Change Bindings list (there are 4 of them iirc) Then maybe you can recreate the remaining (default) chats using the plugin. The only downside would be that they’ll only be visible to other PC players

maybe he needs to increase the sliders at 4:05 because if they're too low it will go too fast for your game and wont work correctly
