Should last 2 weeks in winter or depending on the weather. I’ll say 1 week during summer also depending on the weather. Flowers preserve better in cold water and a little chilly air

Hi Sparrow! It is indeed blue. It's a faint powdery blue. Ceanothus ranges in color from white to deep blue.

Dara, you really are the bomb! If I lived in LA I'd be a super fan with getting your floral arrangements, as you are a wonderfully gifted artist! I thoroughly delight in your fantastic videos, as I grow flowers at my allotment but cannot arrange them in anything other than the most simple gathering! Your videos are a dreamy inspiration. xo

Thank you, Judith! ❤ I would use Salal or another inexpensive greenery only down low and on the interior to hide the mechanics, not part of the flower palette. I still can't think of this one foliage that comes as single leaves...it's driving me nuts! But I'd use that over Salal.🤣

Love, neutrals also! They’re very interesting when utilized with various textures. The way I see it, use foam if you want to use foam because chicken wire is no more degradable than the foam sometime the foam is the best product for the installation or other arrangement you’re doing. Let the judge.😂

@@user-jw4fz3sq1w literally stopped using oasis because of the no foam movement and the intense amount of judgement and screaming… though I do think foam-free is for the better. To be truly sustainable we could use various types of branches…or not do flowers at all AMIRIGHT???

Do you happen to know what variety of peonies are shown under "Calyx are below the bloom"? They are a deep shade of fuchsia I think? They're so beautiful!

Hi Serena! They were from Trader Joe's so they didn't come with a name - but a couple that are similar would be: Comanche, Raspberry Charm, and Peter Brand - this one particularly is probably more in line with the color of that red-fuschia.

This is such a cheerful arrangement! I missed my window to buy cutting chrysanthemums to add to my garden. I recently cut purple calla lilies for an arrangement but within 24 hrs I noticed the bottoms split out. Is that something you've experienced?

Yes! Calla can do that weird curly thing at the bottoms of the stems. It might have to do with how it's cut. If you try cutting the ends with a sharp knife at an angle instead of with shears, blunt, it could remedy that.

Hi Serena! I do think it would be difficult for a beginner, especially because of the quantity for flowers. To add to the difficulty level, I also used only chicken wire 😂 Oasis could make this design a lot easier for a beginner, but not trying to promote that material for everyday use. Wow that arrangement is stunning! I would never think to try those shades together! Tucking in the QA Lace at differnt angles was neat to see. Good tip on combing the carnations in groups. Very helpful tips!
