Small rectification on the so-called "somaliland", name given in the past by the former colonizer of the time to this part of Somalia. Certainly Somali is the name of the people; in 100% Somali Somalia, in Ethiopia 18% Somali (Ogaden region also unique oil region and second city of the country "Dir Dawa") in Kenia 8% Somali, three provinces [Madera, Wajir and Garisa] and finally Djbouti 65% Somali, two and a half provinces [30% of the district of Dikhil, 100% of the district of Ali-Sabieh and finally the district of the capital which also bears the name of the country 95% .... So now here is our misery, an unprecedented political crisis due to the multitude of tribes that make up this Somali ethnic group and one of them named Isaaq is precisely behind the secessionist project of so-called Somaliland. In this same territory other tribe live there and lay more land than the separatist Isaaq like the Dhulbahante [sub clan of Darode (Darode which is the absolute majority on all Somali lands) provinces: Cayn 100%, Sool 98 %, Sanaag 30%], Warsangali [sub clan Darode (province: Sanaag 40%)], Gadaboursi province: Awdal 97%, Issa province: Awdal 3% ... As you can see a single armed tribe terrorizes and forces the others to follow them and leave Somalia. This same separatist clan (Isaaq) is arming itself by asking for international aid. If the African Union or the international community has the recklessness to recognize a tribe as sovereign country, the generalized chaos and misery that will reign in northern Somalia, which until now was relatively calm, will be under the total responsibility of these latter... Imagine if every African clan became a sovereign nation ....

During its brief existence, the State of Somaliland received international recognition from 35 countries, that included China, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Ghana, Israel, Libya, the Soviet Union. The United States Secretary of State Christian Herter sent a congratulatory message, and the United Kingdom signed several bilateral agreements with Somaliland in Hargeisa on June 26, 1960.

As first generation Somali’s we have absolutely no excuse for not being able to talk our mother tongue. It actually infuriates me when I meet people that can’t speak Somali it’s actually sorrowful. I’ve seen grown men in their 30’s that can’t speak Somali thinking it’s cute lol. However the ‘bullying’ aspect comes from a place of encouragement and lowkey disappointment you raise your child and you can barely communicate in afkaaga hooyo to them gasaaro!!!!!

MaanshaALLAH and good job Mohamed Ali,just stumbled on your video though it's a year ago but still such work never gets old,all through watching there was a moment I shed tears with balambal pple, there was a moment of joy with the dead kids in burco at the school, there was a moment of blessings seeing the grave of our Founding Father sheikh Isxaaq,Samaroon and the grave up high the mountain of Arab sheikh Isxaaq, there was a moment of hope and faith to the Land with seeing the beauty of Daalo, ceerigabo and the breath taking peaceful nature and loving faces of people in that place with the waterfall (sorry I forgot the name) that gives hope such that though there was sadness and drought in balambal but still we got other places that there is glimpse of life and richness in other parts, may ALLAH also calm their hearts and reward them more than what they've lost and bless them with happiness for the sad and hard times they've gone through in sha ALLAH,MaanshaALLAH I just realized that I wrote an article already hahaha, excuse me I got attached and once again your work much Appreciated Mohamed Ali.
