I was inspired to listen to rock as a kid playing guitar hero then jimi hendrix inspired me to buy a stratocaster THEN a fallout video game made me want to come here because it was one of my favorite oldies rock songs from fallout 4. Lol

I didn't realize this until recently, but there is more than one guitar playing in the original version of this song. I always thought Luther Perkins was the only one playing in the song, but after listening to it slowed down to 50% here on YT, it's clear that he's only doing the bass line parts on his guitar during the song while someone else is playing rhythm along with him. I don't know how I didn't catch that all these years that I've been listening to this song.

Rockabilly originally was Flatt and Scruggs done to the Bill Haley beat which was rock and roll back then.Bill Flagg was first artist to use Rockabilly as a form of music in Hartford,CT in 1954 and then on record after record co. picked him up out of Hartford,ct not Memphis like everyone has been told,Fake news,as the The Donald says.

Do you have the rest of the song? I want to know how he plays the lead throughout the song. It’s amazing!
That's more of a jazz guitar line but it's in a country song so that makes it trickey to narrow down.

Are you playing with flat wound strings ? You got that tone down perfectly. Besides the use of the Telecaster I believe the flat wounds are really nailing down that original authentic tone 😎

Just put flats on my Strat and yep, they are perfect for that tone. Exactly what I was after! Playing through Princeton
