Generally speaking I have found that going up 1 wheel size from stock size gives a good balance. But really depends on what car it is.

I discovered this the first day of playing since the very first car I bought in GT7 was a Sierra Cosworth and it was basically undriveable with the largest wheels and racing suspension. It literally wouldn't turn AT ALL in high speed corners. It took me some time till I finally found out that you either have to increase the ride height or put smaller wheels.

You can feel something diffrent wheelsize, realy? 😅 Some cars you feel a bit of everything, some some things no diffrent and the last some cars nothing changed... Only gt sport was more trash. Now after update not so far away... For example a noob car BMW not driveable at the moment, soft braking above 100kmh in a soft curve is like handbrakeing. Nothing to make it away, maybe children help assistent system esp up to maximum... Im done with gran turismo after gt 5...

With all the glitches in the most recent update this video isn't very accurate anymore. I'll be re-testing this once there's been an update to fix all the crazy bouncing.

Mercedes 190 E must be the most driver friendly car there so much in the real world as much on the simulators . Yes , the front engine rear wheel drive setup makes the car prone to oversteer at some point but that's to be expected. Now if that car is fully upgraded , with racing modification which gives you access to downforce , racing suspension, which give you access to ride height , camber angle , Racing slick tires and a fully racing gearbox with edited gear parameters this is a moving dream dream !

🤔 I have a fully built Alpine A110 and I haven't noticed much of a difference between Smaller Wheels vs Bigger wheels. But that could be because of my suspension tuning I use. A lot of people tend to forget that Building a car requires more then just slapping parts on it.
@fossilfueled27
@fossilfueled27 Күн бұрын
This video isn't particularly accurate anymore since the 1.49 update. Almost all road cars are extremely twitchy on racing tyres now. A few things that may help the Alpine if you're finding it twitchy; -Increase Body rigidity -Wide wheel offset option -maxed natural frequency at front, slightly lower at rear max rear downforce, slightly lower than max at the front.

What's it like compared to the standard F430?
@3Xmedic
@3Xmedic Күн бұрын
@@fossilfueled27In my honest opinion the Scuddi has better handling and cornering than the base 430. It also is a tad more responsive when under hard acceleration. Not that the base model is bad or anything. You can see and hear a big difference and it's worth the price of admission if you're on the fence about buying it.

@@fossilfueled27ahh perfect. Then you will be happy with it. Now the 97' M3 is another story. Not sure if the car is glitched but it will not corner at all. It constantly put itself in the wall. It was so bad I thought my controller was broken.

@@3Xmedic I've been tempted to make a video on it. It's mainly from people lowering it too much so the wheels hit the arches.

You should've done this blindly. As it is, this is too subjective, and chances are all your experiences are biased on your expectation that the wheels will perform differently.

NOTICE: It's worth mentioning that this video is no longer accurate since Update 1.49. If you use upgraded road cars on racing tyres, like the 190 in this video, rescuing a slide on a controller is now almost impossible, no matter what size wheels are on the car. I will wait for PD to release an update fixing all the silly bouncing before I re-test this.

Yes. Road cars on racing soft tyres are now extremely snappy and unpredictable at the limit no matter what wheel size you have fitted. I'll probably de-list this video and start on a new one.

from my finding I found that when you add max rim size with full customisable suspension, make you leave a gap near the body otherwise on hight speed it will not turn at all they genuinely have thought about the downforce for the speed on a crazy level, also, if the car is twitching adding ballast and biasing it on that side with 1 or 2 sizes down for rim size, it makes a night and day difference

Of course, the bigger the wheel, the better is the grip in some cars cause it prevents wheelspin. And i already figured out the same setup doesnt work in different tracks, some tracks have more inclination and that s a diferent configuration you need to do, if you want to keep the car with the same performance as it should in other tracks

1:15 definitely missed an opportunity doing the full course bc the 3rd corner after the chicane, the off camber up hill right, tests this perfectly, i have a ford sierra bottom out over and over on that corner specifically, tried stiffening the suspension raising it up problem the wheels are too big😢

I think it would be better to say rims rather than wheels because the wheel itself doesn't get bigger just the rims are changing. Wheel = Rim + Tire

When changing rim size stock brakes stay the same but brake upgrades will change sizes along with rim sizes. So tiny brakes with tiny rims and massive big brake kits on the big rims. I never tested it but I bet u have much better braking with the larger brakes
