i love how peaceful canada usa border is. i live on the Canadian Side of the border only about a kilometer form the border. my dad always told me not to pass the border there, since you would get shot. yes there are guards hiding in the woods and that can see you. but there is around 400 ro so meters that they allow where it isnt canada or US.
@billlotton26308 күн бұрын
This is so untrue, they would not shoot you on either side. Your Dad?? was telling tales.

It isn't precisely hard to get into Canada, but most of the US/Canada border is just straight-up wilderness with no roads to speak of, and of course there are thermal cameras every so often, so it isn't quite as straightforward as you might first think. If you are prepared to go on weeks-long trek through the forest while avoiding all known (and watched) roads from the US side, I'm sure you could make it across, but for obvious reasons most people aren't up for such a task nor have such a pressing need to take on such risk. Where there are roads, there are of course cameras so even if you make it across, your passing will definitely be noticed and then there will be people looking for you. For this particular crossing, notice that the US portion of land doesn't connect with the rest of the USA, as there is a massive lake in the way. Attempting to cross either way will require a decent boat and you'll be completely exposed out on the water, so there has to be better places to try if you wanted to make an illegal crossing.

Thats crazy. Here in vermont we have one as well, im like 6 miles from Canada so i know the area lol. There a town called Ritchford. There is a gold course down a rd that is split up, on one side of the road is the US and the otherside of the road is Canada. I wanna say there only like 1 or 2 holes on Canada side. It does exist though. This was pretty cool

Thanks for a nice video.I loved the drone shots, especially the high altitude ones looking at the terrain far ahead. I grew up in northern Wisconsin (quite rural) and had summer jobs in pipeline maintenance and land surveying; both took us far into the boondocks. But it was nothing compared with your travels on the trans taiga - not even close. Well done.

That's wierd ....even Point Roberts, WA (just south of Vancouver) has a border crossing. Just like the Angle, they are isolated and to get back into Washington you have to drive 42km through Canada to Blaine Washington. Point Roberts has no High School so any high school student has to commute to Blaine every school day
