Very nice indeed, a rare sight on the Kyle line to see a five, thought it was going to be diesel hauled on that leg . 👍

Thanks Stephen. It's been a good few years. I reckon there would be interest in the Kyle line doing regular trips from Inverness. This one started at £195 in first class just for the Inverness to Kyle return which is very steep even for first class imo. Ive done steam tours from south/Midlands to Kent, north Wales and Scotland for not much more than half that price. Appreciate that was standard class.

No better feeling driving a 37 with the throttle wide open other than a triple header with 30 wagons of coal on still remember it till this day when I was a fireman out of eastfield traction depot Glasgow 1974 onwards

Westray is in my blood. My grandfather was born there - but emigrated to Canada to the West Coast of Canada - where he left married and had a family, and now grandchildren - great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Thank you for this.

I wanted to know why don’t dig a tunnel and do an extension for the main line Train so they extend the new abandoned underground stations. Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock that includes the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also make them into six cars per units and also having three Accessible Toilets on that six cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXC, and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 8-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers? Fantastic sound I remember when I was in my parents house as a kid hearing the Deltics at night thundering through Stevenage Hertfordshire on the east coast mainline. Great to hear and see this video.

It was grim haha. How was the sound? I bought a wee mic but not sure how the volume level sounds. My phones app has an input volume level but no real guidance on if the max will be too loud for a train.
