That tunnel is pure craftsmanship, I always loved these miniature railways! There's a peacefulness to them that I can't quite describe. Nice video! Angle is spot on

Lovely camera work, the detail in this layout is awesome!

This is absolutely delightful. A beautiful return to 'heritage' modelling, with Farish and Keyser coaches, Peco Wonderful Wagons and period Superquick buildings. Innocence and simplicity, now generally sacrificed on the modelling altar of hyper-realism. The music suited the short film well, too. Sheer nostalgia!

So just got a video recommended about a small railway I didn't know. I do now, and it seems to be a nice short line. Normally they run with a couple of 08s?
@FarmboysRailway3 жыл бұрын
From what I have seen they do often run with 08’s. However the sentinel is still on site and they are having a guest loco for the opening of their new canopy over the station.

These kits are still available as a part of the Dapol range - but the plastic is softer and the toolings haven't really held up against the test of time, so are starting to show a bit of age now
@FarmboysRailway5 жыл бұрын
I found that with the dapol telegraph poles. They look good, but took a lot of fettling to get cleaned up before building.
@waldenhouse5 жыл бұрын
That series are super little wagons, I have a few various models which I obtained for 25p some years ago. Brilliant mouldings and ease of assembly.
@FarmboysRailway5 жыл бұрын
I really enjoyed building both the mineral wagon and the cattle wagon. The next Airfix kit I’m building is the engine shed. It’ll be the second one I’ve built so should hopefully be a bit easier to make the second time around. I’m going to be keeping an eye out for some of the other wagons as well so hopefully I’ll have more of the Airfix wagons to build in the future.

cant remember if had a regulater or not but may wanna slow it dwn just a smidge whilst runnin it bud
@FarmboysRailway7 жыл бұрын
No regulator on the SP2 unfortunately. I have taken to removing the Fire when it gets too fast now. I also have some of the workshop tools on the way which will hopefully keep the speed in check.
@fishw7 жыл бұрын
Farmboy's Railway hmmmmmm wouldnt be too hard to fit one.....or you just need a 'load' on it Removing the fire is one way but not too good for your boiler could also look at fitting or simply placin something on the flywheel to slow that downp
@FarmboysRailway7 жыл бұрын
Currently bidding on a line shaft, and have a polisher and grinder on the way. Hopefully that'll keep the speed in check. :-)

What decoder are you running in the steamer because not decided on what brand to really go with atm. I am running MRC and diesel sound ones but yeah not sure if I am happy with it. Can't wait to see more
@FarmboysRailway7 жыл бұрын
The "steamer" is a Hornby TTS Ketley Hall bud. I've been quite impressed with it. They have a range of decoders available for sale coming out this year. I think they're about £40 each, which is great compared to the £100+ I've been seeing sound decoders for.
@seanbaldwin79337 жыл бұрын
Ahh cool will look into those. Yeah same most decoders are around the $100+ mark for sound eek.. Some just sound bleh.. Well look forward to more vids and updates :) Mine might be coming out soon lol, just need to find a decent video editing software that doesn't kill the budget either
@FarmboysRailway7 жыл бұрын
I use HitFilm 4 Express bud. It's free to use, highly recommended, and they have a lot of how to videos on their channel. Plus they have an export direct to KZfaq function that links with your account.
