Love the DT880 250 Ohm Edition I recently purchased. Have had the DT990 250 in the past (needs a cable repair, I broke the plug) and a DT990 32. Have loved all of them, even as a fan of the HD600. I do not find the DT880 as trebly as often claimed, nor the HD600 "too veiled." Both sound relatively "reference" to me, very different indeed, but not worlds apart either. I love the DT990 also. Good for all sorts of music-it is just a hated headphone from a "purist," "it must sound like this" perspective. I am not treble sensitive (love it, frankly, especially when it's extended and well done), so no Beyerdynamic offends me in the least, but also am NOT 85 years old. Hate the ageist connotations that older people cannot enjoy great audio, or that they can't appreciate how "bad" some headphones are. Maybe they like what they like, and you just do not enjoy treble at all? Nothing wrong with these older classics, and as the reviewer stated, a great value (and this 250 Ohm DT880 Edition is really among my best headphones for anything-both the HD600 and DT880 are excellent for "reference" lovers, with their own strengths and peculiarities.)

I love everything about the DT1990 pro, build quality is insane and the sound quality is great except the harsh treble which is easily rectified with EQ. But they are THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE HEADPHONES I have ever had on my head, I was unable to wear them for more than 30 minutes. It really was a huge disappointment having to return them, of course with anything YMMV if they fit you better than they fit me you cant go wrong buying these they are a great set of cans!

Greatest review of these cans I've seen on KZfaq. I especially enjoyed your thorough comparisons of all these Beyers with one another. In fact, your review and comparisons were so good that made me immediately subscribe to the channel. My only gripe is that this video, from a year ago, is also your last video. Man, you'd be one of my top favorites if you start reviewing headphones, and audio gear in general. Based on only this video, I place you higher than a lot of these audiophile channels. Please, give a thought and come back strong. At the end, I hope that nothing serious is the reason for your absence and you're in good health. For a recommendation, it would be great if you could review the new Beyer DT 770 Pro X Limited and compare it to all these other Beyers, especially to the DT 900 Pro X.

Great review! I have these currently and am extremely happy with them. I was able to get them for $90! I only gamed with them once but currently I'm only playing RDR2 so idk how much that game really relies on positional awareness (I don't think much at all) but the wide soundstage does make the environment feel immersive. I also have the SHP9600. You mentioned the 9500 but I believe they're essentially identical in terms of build. I'm using the MA900 at work since I can FINALLY have an over ear set I can wear for hours. At home I use the SHP9600 and also HD58x. I think the MA900 is really really good. No slacker at all. Extremely happy I found them.

Excellent review - you have delved a good deal deeper than many of the other reviews for this eq - indeed, if not all. Please would you be so kind and let me know if this unit produces hiss/hum when the dials are rotated away from their zero/neutral position (this was highlighted as an issue on the Loki max..) I have both of this product in the running as a potential purchase for my home stereo, so any guidance would be gratefully received 🤓👍

It's typical: MOTU has pioneered the DAW as we know it. In the beginning, there was Logic, PT and DP. Those were your 3 big titles. Cubase, Audition, Fairlight, Abe and the rest came later. MOTU has over 3 decades of software experience and MOTU's included plugs for DP have always been on-par with PT and Logic. But AVB is what puts MOTU gear above and beyond everyone else, since everyone pays a huge licensing fee to Audinate for DANTE. That fee is passed onto the user. Focusrite's Red series shows this markup. At $2,300, the Apollo line doesn't comes standard with Dante. Considering MOTU is still on v1 of AVB and considering how incredibly delta it was on launch, history will absolutely consider it a watershed moment; more so when considering AVB is free with no additional fees. You aren't connecting that RME to anything but close proximity gear using 1/4 audio cable. With an AVB router and another AVB enabled interface on the other end with a single CAT cable, you got an innumerable routing matrix that would have cost $150K just 15 years ago....for $1,800. If I need gear, I go straight to MOTU first. If they don't have what I'm looking for, I go to RME next.

This headphone has the best quality/price ratio I have ever seen. The another one with great Q/P is the K702. 900X has better overall response in the whole spectrum. It has the more dynamic sound. K702 has the better soundscape. It is possible to forget that you listening to a headphone. BOTH has huge ear-space, and both has the same mini-xlr connectors, therefore their cables are interchangeable On a low budget I would suggest to someone to buy these two, and they can cover 99% of the use cases.

So that “Reddit User” - is that Oratory1990? Because I’ve heard that their EQ settings are the gold standard to achieve a Harman curve
@DeDovlaАй бұрын
He was probably referring to him, and I also agree with the author of the video. I think all of those AutoEQ/Oratory1990 profiles go overboard with filters (especially above 10kHz even though they know their rigs are not so accurate above 8kHz usually). For example for the DT 1990 Pro just go over to audiosciencereivew - Amir did the review and made an EQ profile that is also Harman compliant and achieves better sound quality with less filters at least in my experience.

I have DT 880 Black edition 250 ohm, HD 650, both was using with hybrid tube amp and both sounds amazing but when i got Sundara 2020 (on solid state amp), i felt in love and i cannot go back to the other headphones, i enjoy Sundaras too much. And you can get the bass with EQ, its simple. I was always using EQ with all headphones but with Sundaras, i have only minor EQ, basically bass boost from 105hz down + sub bass boost from 28hz down and then -2,5dB at 6600hz, other than that, only very small adjustments under 1dB Also my pads are very symmetrical, i mean everything, shape, crossing between leather and cloth The only thing i didnt like was cable, but i got very nice cable from amazon for around 16€ i think, it was maybe 2 years ago so i dont remember
