Both are interesting submissions. It's always fun to me to try and consider the different design philosophy and intended ideal use for these weapons. The IAR was probably meant as more of the traditional machine gun role while the lmg could be issued in mass to completely replace the m4.

Watching this at 50-percent speed gave me enough time to really see the differences in terms of ejected brass directions and smoke/gas venting at the ejection port.

Honestly, as lightweight as that is and the fact that it would be compatible with standard AR mags logistically it makes sense as a SAW. And instead of quick change barrels, you can just swap out the whole upper in 10 seconds. It’s got a slower rate of fire so a little more controllable and ammo conserving. That low recoil of the AR platform with that gas system is perfect. Significantly more lightweight than any other LMG style weapon on the market.

I just grabbed this from armsunlimited on sale for $369. I plan to use it on a 300BO braced pistol with an 8" barrel. How does yours sound?

@ecobasetech4558 , it's conclusive with MK18 5.56 10.5 inch barrel, huge ball of flash, and on the PTR PDW 308 with it's short barrel it's equally loud and flashy even more so with the can, than without. I'm thinking like you, to use it on a 300 blackout because the sound and pressure will already be reduced... or try it out on my SIG SPEAR 308 when I can get the flash hider off and replace it with a surefire... The can however is Great, it's literally built like a tank. I love the way it attaches to the Surefire flash hider, as I used in on both a 4 prong and a 3 prong warcomp . I also might try it on a AK and see how it does also... I'm not sure the 311 diameter yet will work of the AK rounds , but I'm going to wait and see, and get a few more things like a better bore guide rod, and see how it lines up. So far I'm extremely happy with the cans. I did actually get a loud roar from a Bigfoot who was angered from it's blast and sound, who let out a battle warcry thinking it was those people hunting them trying to kill one of them, as the shortbarrel 308 was like shooting a 50cal! !

Saw another video review by a user who complained that the gun is not accurate past 25 ft or something. So dumb. It's as if either he was truly, utterly ignorant of the fact that this pistol, just like the WW2 original was designed, was clearly made as an assassination weapon or he thought that it was just like a normal pistol, just with better suppressor. The sheer dumbness hurt my brain.

This company removes bad reviews from their products. They also misrepresent their products under SKU Numbers and then sell different SKU numbers. Once you receive the product they will charge you a restocking fee and will not pay for return shipping for either a refund or an exchange minus the mentioned fees. Avoid at all costs. Additionally their customer service reps are warehouse workers and have very little information as to what they are selling much less understand what the customers are asking for. Essentially, you are buying from a warehouse that offers shipping but has no idea what they are selling for the most part. These bad experiences do not occur all the time but do some research and you will see countless stories of this.

The welrod was originally designed to be an assassin pistol. The one in this video was an upgraded version which was marketed as a tool for veterinary euthanasia much later. And those rubber disc's are called wipes. Baffles are a series of cylindrical metal tubes with an inverted cone in the center designed to disrupt and delay the gas flow behind the bullet making it quieter. While wipes and baffles do serve the same ultimate purpose, they are not the same thing. Wipes are a good deal quieter, but baffles have a much longer life span. Some suppressors integrate both for a happy medium.
