An instinctive eater. Great. But people don't have instincts any more because they are interrupted in their natural development by school and the propaganda they now teach.

The only reason I can think this would get a dislike is cos the guy can't stop taking photos , which is somewhat annoying, otherwise brilliant, always great learning from the wise of any ge and she's clearly very wise. R.i.p

This lady is the definition of a gem! God bless her! I have a friend who is 98, and she reminds me so much of her. That friend introduced me to a lady in her residential home who is now 108, who up until before lockdowns was still walking unaided, sharp as a tack, eating and drinking everything she wanted (including plenty of alcohol), and not taking any medication. In fact she was getting annoyed when they were trying to get her to start taking a pill when she was 106! This generation was just built differently, and gosh I wish I could've been born in it!

@MMM. Survival depended on hard physical labor. My male ancestors walked 98 miles on foot to get a covered wagon to go back and get the women and children. That means it took 5 days to a week if they walked 20 miles in a day. That means sleeping on the ground at night. I did that once without a tent and dew falling on me and deer rutting kept me up all night. Then they had to either eat dried meat and fruits with some hard tack or game hunt along the way and forage. They were not from this country so they had to figure all that out. If they were smart hopefully they chose their trip in spring or fall.

i just have to dispel that '40 was the life expectancy in ye old days'. its a total myth. because so many children died young or as infants that brought the average life expectancy down across the board. if a human lived to adulthood they stood as good a chance as living into old age as anyone today. and of course better medicine and preemptive procedures also help people live longer.

Now this is what is called graceful aging: having good health and sound mind. She definitely knows Who to look up to for her strength. I learnt that from her that money is to meet needs. Good health, sound mind,, contentment with God's provision make for a happy life. God bless ya Grandma
