Either launch the world on a more powerful machine with more RAM, or cut your losses and use MCA selector to reset the chunks that have the ocean monument

This dude seems to always die right as his world starts to go into mid game after ender dragon. Either he purposefully dies to then start a new hardcore world where the views skyrocket because something new always attracts views or he is terrible at surviving either way he is cool.

Too late but just use a mod (maybe a resourcepack would work too but I don't know) that doesn't render the falling blocks, and it would probably still lag a lot but still work.

He could just modify the game to not render falling sand entity and it would fix it, all he would need to do is let it all finish then turn rendering back on and relog.

Isnt there save.old file that he can just rename and lose like 20 min of progress? Thats what I did with my corrupted hardcore save and it worked, although some chinks did get messed up

he should 100 percent be able to go into some world edit type program and deal with that issue. ethoslab had to do this multiple times on his prob close to decade long world because of issues of similar caliber,

HE can use external applications to delete the chunks with the sand and reload the world

He could use NBTExplorer to change his playerdata location, then delete the region file(s) that had all the sand. And while, yes it will reset all the chunks over there, I think it's better to have some chunks gone than your entire world, plus it didn't look like he had some important things at this location That's how I dealt with something that caused crashes on modded. Worked like a charm
