Dark Souls 3 was my first souls game and after two playthroughs i don't think i ever want to play the game again. Not because it was bad but because the experience was so profoundly mesmerizing and thrilling i don't ever want to spoil the memory of it with another playthrough. I've never felt about any other game like this.

I feel dark souls is about clinging to the tiniest bit of hope, even if its a single thread, to hopefully overcome adversity and challenge. Even the story's in the world of rekindling that dying ember to go on for just another age, only to know that it won't change that eventual end of the fire we still kindle it striving to continue this dying and terrible world, to one day bring forth a change and chance to have those you care about live and continue. This even applies to real life as we all strive for success even if it's slim and we want those we care for to live and thrive, to continue to a new age to be happy. Sorry for rambling i just got really passionate about this.

For all my complaints, all the faults I see in this game... it stands alone in the amount of time I've sunk into a souls title. I just can't wait to see what From has designed for the DLC and I am so excited to hear what their next project is, whenever that will get announced. The industry needed a game like Elden Ring. While it's hardly the antithesis to modern gaming, what with how the game launched unfinished and unpolished, it has a rich world for players to get lost in. I'd like to see From take another crack at an open world. Refine it, as they sound like they're doing with the dlc. Trim the fat. I'd also absolutely love if we had a return to DS3 Era speed for the combat. Those bosses are immaculate and I'd have loved Elden Ring so much more if the bosses in it took after DS3 more
