Amazing voice!!!! To bad the music industry is an evil place for amazing people like she was and is. she never got her flowers while she was on the earth.

All of her music was so beautiful, and deeply sang from her soul. She needed and wanted to be loved so bad. I pray that we all can find that special love that we deserve!!

That tone and duende is unmatchable. It is what I love most about Phyllis Hyman. My number one favourite singer of all time. She died ten years before I was born.

clasify her with Summer & Ronstadt and not (ugh)Celine and Whitney.

Phyllis wasn't underrated, like most of the R&B talent of vocal powerhouses we had back in the dayz, couldn't compete with the changing of pure physical entertainment that was approaching the industry. She like so many other women were being pushed out by younger talent who would shake their bottoms, and were willing to be disrespected for doing it. So no, our Phyllis wasn't underrated, she was pushed out by what we have todays music, with Beyonce, and etc .......

She wasn’t just an unbelievable talent. She was a story teller. You can hear her melting into, and caressing the words she sang. So beautiful, and absolutely timeless.

This song sends me back to a daydream of my younger self. Just realizing what the world was going to be all about. First secret kisses and hidden romance. Memories.

I 43 and I've been in love her since a child 😆 she was so beautiful and when I speak on her I don't use the term loosely. And once I really saw interviews with her I fell even harder. I comment on her videos and songs , she was an exceptional women can't understand why she destroyed herself and I wish she didn't, but at least she gave us this amazing music she left behind 😢
