A local authority can refuse to let a dwelling or sell a dwelling under the tenant purchases schemes to those involved in anti-social behavior my friend been bullied for the pass 5 years and somerset and west and taunton council have done nothing about it they even given my friend and one of hes neighbors a curfew to them without going to the courts for one and give the bullies nothing the police and council have not dealt with the bullies and all they have done is made things worse the neighbor even ring the police saying he was going to knife my friend and they did nothing shocking

I think there is some big issues with this video. Whilst the overall tone is fine and there are helpful pointers as to specific things to look out for which can be abusive behaviour. Firstly, its's never 'too late' to remove yourself from an unhealthy and abusive relationship (of you were watching this video) and to seek support. This wording could imply to a vulnerable victim as they haven't consciously noticed these signs or have accepted them as normal/part of the relationship and therefore as there has been significant time it's too late. Secondly, we must stop holding people to a standard where it's 'lucky' to not be abused in a relationship. No people who experience abuse are vulnerable and often manipulated which is to be considered extremely unlucky (although I believe luck is unhelpful in the conversation and should be avoided where possible). We can't hold the norm as people who don't abuse there partner are good people be default, no, that is the bare, bare minimum. Although I understand that statistically a large percentage of young people (as it says first relationship) will be in a heterosexual relationship this video has gone to the effort to be cartoons so why couldn't we avoid a heteronormative situation altogether? There was no need to bring gender into it at all, just use the term partner, men (and non binary people) are victims who would may not be able to identify themselves as victims due to harmful generalisations that its women who are abused by men. Specifying gender within the video was unnecessary the 'victim's voice was non gender specific and therefore that a person of any gender identify could be placed into that role. A smaller issue but still an issue is that I believe was too condescending also. Saying things like 'tell's me how pretty I am' may also cause people to stop listening to the important messages as it infantalises them and stops them from seeing if they actually can relate to the video. Yes there are some good points and starting a conversation is always good but we need to start using the correct language from the start to prevent misconception and approach the subject in the best possible way which will ensure better outcomes. I'm disappointed in this video, I would be hoped that it would be subject to more serious checks.

The message put across from this advert is truly a good one, I believe it would've been better if the usage of the term partner was used across the whole video. Removing gender from the equation, whichever relationship two people are in, abuse can become present.
