Shame to dismantle it, but I guess it will help keep some other examples of this Honda on the road. Hopefully you will make your money back and a few quid for the effort 👍

I had the same version back in the 70's . Yes the original blue was sparkly candy blue it was very nice .. That one does sound like loose camchain but it's very easily replaced . Around 75 to 80 top speed but the headlight is only 35 watt and there's no voltage regulator so if you upgrade headlight it'll slowly drain the battery so don't ride for hours at night like I did . Great bikes . Cheers !

I had the 250 with the Motad. Not a fan of the look. I expect original silencers are like hen's teeth, as they are for the 250/400s. Pattern ones are not so bad but, of course, you need the downpipes and gubbins to go with them.

Verry nice restauration! I have been the proud owner of my Suzuki T 125 Stiner from 1971 since 1975. Since 1984 the machine stood in my mother's garage for over 30 years until a friend of mine brought the Suzuki back to life. It runs well up to 4000 revolutions, but unfortunately it doesn't go beyond that. Unfortunately we are missing some parts on the carburettor. These are, on the one hand, two pilot jets (part number 28 of the carburettor illustration) and, on the other hand, the lower cover of the float chamber (a part is missing). Do any of you have the parts described above or know where you can buy them? Many thanks for your help!

Thanks for the comment. Sorry, we don't know too much about the Stringer, nor have contacts for parts. It was a lovely bike and we had an opportunity to look around and ride it around the yard.

The pistons of mine are stuck and I can't get them to move even after bleeding the brake system. What would you recommend to clean the pistons of the brake cartridge with?
@MotorcycleFettlersАй бұрын
Some suggestions. Poor boiling water over the caliper. An airline on the bleed nipple (if you have one, but be careful). With the disk pads out, try working the lever. Soak it in diesel for a few days.

If it's the o ring on the inlet manifold You may be able to replace it without taking the carbs completely off, if you are dexterous enough. If it's an air leak or is it a fuel leak then more info required.

No you don't. You'll want to make sure the fuel is good, if it's been stood for some time. You can service the carbs without removal and you'd definitely want to try that, first. We had to replace some small diaphragms that did require removal. Removal is not fun!
