Yes, get a K cpu and undervolt it or limit its power, might have been better to get a non K cpu or a 14700 without K. amd and intel both are at fault, for the last 2 generations its more power and more heat.

Thank you for the information. Have been seeking this type of help since 2015. The Saitek panels were purchased in 2015, just before the name change to Logitech. Your demo used XSaitekpanels version 3.08 where as the version option I was given was 3.09. Followed your instructions of creating the plugin. When X-Plane started to load the radio panel showed version 3.09 compared with 3.08 as indicated in your presentation However when XP12 fully loaded with an aircraft on the tarmac the Radio panel went blank. Any thoughts on where I faulted

Activating game mode caused a 4 FPS loss in Xplane 12 in the same scenario. My system is Intel 12400F, RTX 3060 with 32GB of memory. Windows 11 Pro I was disappointed that v12.1 in Xplane 12 did not improve the multi-core utilization. Most of the cores are idle.

Have you ever tried experimenting with disabling "Core Isolation?" Or going into BIOS and disabling "Speedstep" and "Hyperthreading?" Supposedly, that can improve FPS...or make it worse. btw, I'd be interested to see an update in your version comparison. 12.1 not only looks great, but runs great, too.

Was your customer Q8pilot? This is exactly his advice. He has you make a number of other changes too (mostly in nvidia) which did help me a little. I thought it was worth going through the exercise but I agree with you that it's a drop in the ocean aside from Game Mode. Good video. Thanks!

With my win11 i913900k/rtx4090 I don't see any significant difference in FPS performance with Game Mode on/off. I only see slightly less stuttering with it off. Another thing to test is turning on/off hardware acceleration graphics (HAGS). For best system stability I've always found it best to disable HAGS (with win11 it is on by default) for all my PCVR apps. As far as nvidia control panel goes, I leave everything default except power = prefer max performance and change the quality default below that to = high performance. Going into bios and disabling hyperthreading also helps keep cpu temps down a bit without any significant effect on performance. Like everything VR, yrmv, lol!

Thank you for a very helpful video! You are the first person to mention the M.2 and SATA ports being disabled. Same exact thing happend to me since I have 2 M.2 SSDs and now I got a SATA SSD to replace my old HDD. For the last day or soo I've been losing my mind trying to figure out why it wouldn't show up and I thought that the last 2 SATA ports died.

I dont have the "integrated graphics" option there. My PC Just suddenly lags, everything stops, my keyboard stops glowing. After that my PC boots up again. Sometimes it lags and I Gotta turn it off manualy. Sometimes it lags right after it just booted up again. It happened about twice when I was playing but usually it runs Fine when I have some game on. Idk what to do please help.

A cleaver guy, that’s obviously passionate. But he come across as bold and rude. It was unbearable to watch.

Tried the new yoko neo at the FSexpo in Vegas, it is terrible compared to the old Yoko +. Very springy, almost unflyable. The old $100 ch products yoke was almost better.

Seen a few videos showing motherboard manufacturers ignoring CPU recommended power limits. The assumption for most users is that Auto means the CPU vendor recommended settings. Clearly that is not the case.

X-Plane 12.1 still uses only 1 core at 90% on a 14700K and the other cores are chilling. So 🤷🏼… personally I have a small air cooler on my 14700K and its just fine if u don’t use 100% of the CPU like in any game or flight sim. So unless X-Plane is gonnan be improved to really take advantage of every core well untill then I don’t even need to buy a water cooler aio.
