I appreciate this hunt. I like the less conventional way of playing Normal Shells with more Poke and Shell, but also using Fullburst. It's clearly still effective, good way to get damage in tight moments ❤

I've seen so many that are bigger than that and didn't give crowns. The physical size must not always match the crown size or smth. Glad you got yours.

dude, that is not the gold crown =_= I hunted the exact same size on your video, I thought the game bugged. But then I checked the end of your video and the gold crown reward didnt even show up. Lmao.

The reason that the crown mark doesn't show on my video is beacause I already got the biggest large crown for years ago. I record this one during helping my friend's last gold crown trophy. He got the ps4 Large Crown Collector trophy right after the quest so I assumed this was a crown size:) The indicators I used are very subjective criteria. Errors can occur depending on various factors such as location of measurement(esp. on sloping terrain) and height of your camera. Before I found this giant luna, There was at least 8 times I assured it would be a big crown this time. As you know, It happens very often cuz difference in size between biggest silver crown and smallest gold crown is only 1% of the default size. Sorry about your dissappointment. I have no choice but to say the same thing all the time to the crown hunters....Good Luck! LOL

oh man, this is my last missing gold crown for my iceborne platinum. I hunted 3 lunastra the same size from your video, I could assure you, this wasnt the gold crown. not even the silver crown. give me your psn so I could send you my screenshots while measuring them.

How did you know it was big or not? What part did you measure with the trap? I’m trying to hunt a gold crown for this one, and I only got silver.

there's several point that helps estimate the size. it's exactly same as how to measuring normal rajang. this one is the second biggest gold crown size(124%) so a little bit smaller than the video shows could be a gold crown either. My favorite is to see how high the monster's calf and hip bone compared to hunter's head. If It's a gold crown size, the round mass of calf muscle would be completely over of the hunter's head.(see 0:27) once the muscle edge touches hunter's head that would be a silver crown. when using shock traps you can see the little projection of hip bone moves up and down. this part should be same level of hunter's head even when it's lowest position.(0:34) silver crown size will goes lower down as a shoulder high. yeah it is a hard job because the monster doesn't stay still, you must catch this indicators literally in a second. hope you get some good luck soon:)

ReccaWolf Raging brachydios has no size variations. So there is no crown size.

Only video I've found of this. Heard people mention it,but never seen it myself. Honestly it looks like silver rathalos is just shooting a regular fireball. Still sad They didn't really give him any cool moves like they did with gold rathian. Thanks for showing the combo attack though. :D

Yeah I have same question about them but couldn't help out without looking for it for my self cuz there's no single video clip about it like you said. I tried several times to see how they interact each other but nothing cool was found. so this is the closest one of "combined" attack i guess. The explosion range seems bigger then normal one but can't figure out any other differences. It's only an assumption, maybe it deals more damage when get hits in right place. Anyway If you have any better description please let me know. Please tell me there's something better then this....
