You are a woodworking savant! I know from experience how much work goes into a project until it's at near perfection, sanding is longer than the building, but worth the effort my friend... "buy it nice or buy it twice" is a phrase I've never heard before and I'm 72 yrs old .. Love it

A matching high table for the hall or entrance would be amazing as well. The exact same thing but with longer legs. Wowsers that's awesome work. You are amazingly talented. And I'm envious of your shop. Kindly, Ms. Jo

Client wants what client wants. But this isn’t a restoration project, it’s scrap wood that should’ve been used for scraps. The time, money and energy used could’ve gone to making about 10 of these butcher blocks. Anything having to do with food needs to be treated with utmost care, as this guy knows, so he did what he has to. But if a client asked me to do this, and I’d refuse.

While the restoration is beautiful, I must agree with others. Not only is the base too big, it simply looks like two seperate pieces jimmy rigged together. Separately, the base, the board and the bowl are Fantabulous!!! Your work is amazing. ✌️👍

can you do a lab test to check your vitamin D levels, I bet they are low cause you live up north and because of the stress and burn out you've bee thru.. Take vitamin D supplements and spend more time petting a cat (it helps with brain over electrical activities)

That's friggin awesome. Next time you should save the shavings and mix them in to a block of epoxy and make another trifecta out of that.

I have to admit you do great work , and I'm sure all can see you take great pride in your equipment, shop and workmanship. You have so much work to get done ,I think you should get a young wood worker apprentice to help you ,you can teach in return you can get more done and perhaps work 5-6 days only and possible gain 25-35% more product out the door also give you more time to create more , Just a thought brother .Cheers from Canada

Watching this video was an absolute delight. The intricate details and the amount of effort you put into each step of making these chaotic blocks are truly remarkable. It's also refreshing to hear you talk openly about burnout and the measures you took to address it. Your journey is not just about craftsmanship but also about perseverance and self-care. Thank you for the beautiful content and for being a source of inspiration to so many. Your work is both art and therapy for the soul.

There is a company, Rubber Chucky, that sells a tri corner box drive center and a center that fits in the tailstock of your lathe. You don’t have to use any wax on your wood blank to cut down on friction when the blank is inserted on the tailstock side, the mandrel freely spins on ball bearings.

I add 2 brackets on the underside of my cutting boards, so it fits on the left side of the kitchen sink, there is a over hang on the right side of the sink about 4 inches. giving you more counter top, and you can hide some dirty dishes underneath in the left side of the sink. also good for sweeping your cut vegetables or such into a pot in the right side of the sink.

OK sir, you do work insane amount of hours, but have you considered the possibility that your vitamin D level is awfully low? I am not kidding or trying to be a smart ass. You don't get enough sun in Alaska, especially in the winter. Low vitamin D will cause a lot of hormonal imbalance, low energy, weak immune system, bad mood, depression.... Look it up my friend. Good luck. PS: your pieces are awesome.
