Awesome Review Jay… Im Booked For Aug… Did you go to San Pedro If so How was Your Experience There ?

@@costtv thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! We didn't get to San Pedro on this trip since we found enough to do on Caye Caulker each day. There are boats that will take you there several times each day, and it was suggested that you get on an early boat if that's something you have time for. San Pedro can easily take up a day or two itself, which is why we decided to save it for our next trip. Enjoy your visit in August!

Spent the last week of February on Caye Caulker for our wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time! Your assessment of the people is right on - they are incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. And the food is incredible, especially the "street places", but the small neighborhood type restaurants are fabulous as well. Looking forward to going back. HUGE difference between Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye / San Pedro. CC's island motto of "Go Slow" is great. Great video review! Cheers!

The T-casual for Zone 1, currently €11.35 online for 10 journeys looks to be way more value than the Hola Barcelona cards. Only advantage of the Hola, is it allows travel on the airport metro. I’m arriving into town from Madrid by rail and leaving by air but with a lot of luggage so will be taking the train from Sants Station. Even if I buy 20 journeys for 4 full days exploring, it’s still cheaper than the 48H Hola.

Do u recommend driving to Toledo?
@jaydubdiscoveries
@jaydubdiscoveries Жыл бұрын
I haven't made the drive, so it's hard for me to compare driving vs taking the train. I did notice a fairly large parking garage while I was there, so you surely could drive there and find a place to park. What I would NOT recommend is trying to drive IN Toledo once you arrive: the streets are very narrow, mostly filled with pedestrians, and it is easy to get lost. A car would come in very helpful driving around the permitter of the city, though, and there are places to pull off to the side and enjoy the views.

Not only with parents. I remember come from my primary school in my neighborhood alone with my schoolmates and we jump to avoid the black rocks using only the whites. Going the whole street until I reach my home, always avoiding the black stones. Yes with 8 years old i was walking alone to my home (10 minutes from the school) and never had any danger or bad ppl to mess with me whatsoever. Soz my broken english.

There's a lot of great bike manufacturers out there. I'm partial to Specialized, but take time to find a bike that works best for you and your budget. Any bike shop will let you go for a test ride, and decent ones will include a fitting to set it up for your height and comfort.

As a Portuguese I should say, these pavements are as dumb as it can be. If it’s sunny outside, you can’t even ride any personal transportation that doesn’t have tyres, and once it rains it becomes extra slippery and people fall all the time, and let me tell you the stories of people, specially old folks, that live on slopes... oh boy… they rather walk on the road! useless pieces of art.

Being careful, slowing down, and wearing appropriate shoes, when it rains, are minute inconveniences and a small price to pay for such exquisite beauty. Portuguese calcada is a unique and beautiful art form. Calcada and the unique architecture of Portugal, often incorporating non-European architectural elements, are what distinguishes Portugal from its European neighbors. It is part of the maritime heritage of Portugal. Whose brave mariners opened up sea-routes to parts of the world previously isolated. Bringing to Europe not only spices and other products but the flora and fauna of the world. God bless this Great little country called Portugal as well as its people. Portugal may be small in size and population, but that never stopped its people from accomplishing the extraordinary.
@wiki3065
@wiki3065 2 жыл бұрын
@@josephrego2527 no, it’s a huge price to pay. You can paint the picture any way you want with all the color of the rainbow if needed, but the lack of good functionality for something as basic as a sidewalk shouldn’t be excused by beauty alone. It’s like dating a ‘viewtiful’, but systemically toxic woman. There is no excuse, unless you like the pain.
