I switched the HD a month ago from Indian. My bike is already up for sale to go back to Indian. I just cannot accept that I need to spend $1000's in upgrades to get "close to" the Indian stock performance. The tech on my pursuit was light years ahead of HD, I could even adjust my shock preload from the infotainment. Carplay and Android auto worked just by pairing Bluetooth; no need for a WHIM and HD branded headsets. Finally, PERFORMANCE; any HD rider that claims to beat an Indian without extensive modifications (over $10000) is sadly just flat out lying.

D&D doesn't stand behind their products. i bought a black billet cat system from Ya'll at thunder on the beach spring rally this year. the black coating is flaking off on it. D&D won't answer their phones, return messages or emails.

I bought a d&d billet cat exhaust in black ($300.00 up charge) from Kim and Chris at the thunder on the beach rally this past spring. Paid over $1,700.00 for it. the black powder coat finish looks like something out of a shaker can. the coating started flaking off where the end cap slides into the muffler and where the little heat shield meets the collector. D&D will not answer their phone, will not return voicemails and will not respond to emails to even discuss the problem. No reflection on Cycle Solutions but D&D customer service is crap. And all they talk about is American made and quality. Very dissapointed.

Rusty is a POS. I took my chrome one to him in person and said my fingerprint made the chrome discolor and told me to email him. Never heard back. He got terrible reviews at sturgis this year.

Hey Chris, Dan here. I visited the shop with Mike Huffman. This is my new KZfaq handle. I finished my S&S 129ci build you sold me. This is probably the 10th time I’ve watched this. I used this video to install my TM on my Fat Boy “Killmonger” after installing SE 64mm Intake/Throttlebody, SE 5.5 sec, and Alloy Art Boom Box. It’s Saturday 13JUL2024 at Midnight on the 8th day I pulled an all nighter after receiving my SE Heads from J.E.T. Pro Street porting. I have cold feet on actually starting SilverBAK up after beginning this build in March. Now I’m tacking notes on this video so I don’t screw it up like I did on Killmonger. I really appreciate the information you have provided over the years, and just wanted to say, thank you. I wish the Tee you gave me had the big circle flying hog on the front. 😂. ☮️ brother/2FD SKWID Rider’s Shipmate ET1(SS/SW/MTS) US Navy, Ret. The most astonishing thing to me about this piece isn’t the content of the parts, but rather, that not a single person has commented on the 4000’s runout 😳 …on a brand new engine. Seems as though the Motor Company has most very well trained.

What's another $500 plus on my '23 LRS? Who makes these faulty parts for HD? Have had good luck so far and love this bike, but I'm always waiting for something to self destruct. My big VStrom ain't as cool, but dependable as an anvil.

lifter port on the out side is below port on the inside, `inside piston has a port just aboive port on the out side the piston on the inside with the valving is pused down and oil under pressure gos into the center piston and thru the one way valve at the bottom of inside piston . so when you pushin g oil thru the outside inlet port you just pushing oil thru the tight clearance because that port on the out side will be practilyshut closed untill you push the inside piston down just a little thats why when doing priming lifters you sumerge them then pump them from the top. .put oil in a 1 inch pvc pipe cap it bottom and pump the piston and you dont have oil all over the place youll see the bubbles come out the top. yea and auto lifters are not the same specs as harley lifters .auto lifters run high pressure HD run on lower psi

I know this is old but it is so wrong to call this "Proper". I would think this could lead to some liability issues. The Moco calls for a procedure thar purges the ABS module. Absent this it cannot be called proper. This procedure was instituted by the Moco after they lost some lawsuits on ABS failure. If the dealer cost to do this at 1 hour plus materials is too high for you, there are alternatives. There are devices available for consumer purchase that will cycle ABS. Some people advocate for change fluid, ride and activate ABS up to 10x then change fluid again. And some people advocate for just bleed system as you would non-ABS systems. Pick your poison.

Just moved to Bonita springs from Sarasota. I have a 2002 sportster 1200. Just wondering if you guys do basic repairs on an older bike like mine? Nothing is broken on it at the moment, but I’d like to have a place to go when something does break.

A tip from an old drag racer... On a street engine we don't use "short travel" lifters... Of coarse we use short travel lifters in a Race Bike... Because we are reving 7,000 rpm. And if you miss a gear rpm. Engine rpm. Will go way past the rpm. Limit... In that case, the lifters could pump up and bring your valves to hit each other... It's a Hemi, remember... That's why they make a short travel lifter... On the street engine this is unnessasary... And it will give you the ability to snug up on them, if you're chasing a noise... Roads are so bad around here that I’d avoid the carbon wheels. They are sweet though. As far as the Avons, I just swapped out a set. The rear lasted about 5k, front was so cupped that was the reason I swapped. After trying everything outside of Metz, I went back to the Bridgestones. Best turnin and never had one go bad like the Avon. I check pressure religiously btw.
