This song sucks without Paul Carrack on lead vocals. He should have sang all of Squeeze's songs instead of this hack in the video.

Hands down my favourite version of this song and my favourite live vocal performance of Glenn Tilbrook. Phenomenal.

Glenn’s singing while he’s playing that tricky guitar riff is tremendous. That’s SO hard to do believe me!

I've been watching this performance on KZfaq for years, it is probably my favorite lineup of talented musicians playing tempted with Glenn Tilbrook and the amazing saxophonist David Sanborn who sadly died today. We will definitely be missing him. RIP David Sanborn 1945-2024 It's hard to believe so much time has gone by so quickly. I am 61 but can't understand where the time goes. It seems like just last week I was in my twenties. So sad to see him go. His work can be heard on many recordings. The stones miss you, David Bowie young American, and Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and many other Rock, blues, r&b, pop, jazz, and just about every😮 genre of popular music.

I loved this live performance. Glenn's voice is so beautiful. The original version with Paul Carrack is a classic, but this live version sung by Glenn is wonderful. Glenn Tilbrook is an excellent musician, his perfect guitar and melodious voice are totally amazing.

What a great group. I watch MTV all the time, I Want my 80's, and they never show Squeeze. I wonder why? A contractual thing? Did they piss off somebody??

My biggest regret in junior high (1982)was not learning a musical 🎵 instrument while they were teaching them for free for a mere grade . I feel I can sing great with a ride range. Learn the bass guitar. Form a band in high school (1986)and play gigs on weekends in deep ellum, or lower Greenville in Dallas . Get notice and famous , radio appearances, record recordings , girls throwing their underwear, you and band mates wearing clothes that stand out , filming videos, money , girls , fame (1988), drugs, appearing on SNL , hanging with famous folks, destroying hotel rooms, the life during the day playing tourist in a different city before a massive show that night sold out to 99,000 fans(1990). Room service and sports cars . Winning Grammys (1992)…… even if I was a star that burned 🔥 so very bright that I burned only half as long. So be it.. …. Biggest regret of my crappie life .

Mullets, painters caps and inappropriately short shorts. On the plus side, the back and forth with the drunken toolbag of a crowd is hilarious. Truly a great song and despite the crowd in this vid, the 80's truly were the best.

Keith Wilkinson is a great bassist and he brought a lot to Squeeze, but this song is just terrible. His other song, Got to Me, which Glenn sang, is much better.
