@@ultratrailblazers5806 😂😂 CM100 was significantly harder than Teanaway. For Teanaway I was too eager on the downhills and blew up my shins. I made it to mile 76, still an hour ahead of the cutoff but I had to drop because my shin muscles were toast

I was laughing my ass off. Been there. Also: the part about your pacer -- after you tell your pacer to wake you up in 15 minutes, you realize you have no pacer, you've been talking to yourself for the last 2 hours.

Great video! Sorry y'all ran out of time. Glad to see you're signed up for more suffering this October though shouldn't be anywhere near as wet, muddy and cold... but who knows it's Orcas. The buckle is waiting... PS I think we should rename Camp Moran to Camp Moron. :)

Hey congrats on the WS Grand Slam!!! That's amazing! Plain 100 sounds very daunting TBH - you made it look easy! I'm thinking about doing that slam too some day - maybe next year. Is Cascade the only lottery race of them? And do you know if they save spots for grand slammer? Getting into the races is by far the biggest challenge for the "normal" grand slam (WS100 is impossible, Leadville unlikely, Vermont maybe 30-50%, and Wasatch they save you a spot if you're in the others)...

Always a bummer when a race gets cancelled. Smoke/fire, covid, weather... sometimes the odds seemed stacked against mountain ultras in western North America. Here's to 2021 ! If it gets cancelled this time within a few hours I'll be chilling at my airbnb in the hot tub with a cold beer! Give it a few years of completion , it will be a regional classic. the RD is dedicated. In light of recent deaths in the sport I understand the call completely. Also the entrance requirements are completion of a 50 mile trail race- pretty minimal for a 100 mile/30,000' wilderness route in the Cascades, could be cause for some worry.

I couldn't agree more, initially I was pretty upset, but after having some time and space to gain perspective I think it was the right thing. While I tend to be highly self reliant I've noticed there are a decent number of people who are not carrying an extra light, a water filter, a decent coat...you know, things you might want if you're stuck in the woods in a pinch.. And I think you're spot on, in a few years TC100 is going to a NW classic
