Thanks for the video. How many buckets of the home charm paint will do for a room. Thanks
@aberba
@aberba 5 күн бұрын
@@ruhullahidani276 it obviously depends on the room size and wall height. But for a standard room (16x12ft), it's about 1 bucket per coat. The first coat takes more paint and the last, takes less. So about 2.5 buckets for 3 coats. But it all depends on how smooth (more paint) you want the wall. 2 coats was enough for me.

@@errolosafo4314 no, it's not meant for surface treatment or mixing with paint. It's meant to be either injected into the blocks (fixing rising damp) or mixed with mortar for plastering (prevention)

Very informative. I have had to scrap bits and pieces of information about rising dump issues in Ghana and what the pros and wonna be pros are saying about it. This really covers it in a lay mans views. Nice work 👍. What would you recommend when no dumproofing was installed? Can it be done during screeding?

Please confirm if you used the full can of the oil treatment.
@aberba
@aberba 2 ай бұрын
Yes, for this specific motorcycle (AP200gy7). It's 0.44 liters in content. Oil is 1 liter. Making 1.44 liters in total. Note that the manufacturer recommends 1 liter of oil but I've figured the 1.44 liters mixture works just fine, especially with the treatment. The oil doesn't become watery easily, extending its lifespan, and minimizing engine wear and tear. At least in my experience... also recommended by my mechanic. Also heavy bikes require some form of oil treatment or special engine oil.

Thanks for the video. Please I have a question. What is your wall is plastered and it’s old so there’s dark green/black in it. What can you do before plastering to prevent damping and mold?
@aberba
@aberba 2 ай бұрын
There are mould treatment products on the market that will kill those green algae. The algae turns dark when it dies. Sometimes you don't have a rising damp problem, just mould. Sometimes you have both. Moulding can look like a damp issue so make sure to diagnose the problem well to decide on the right fix. Moulds are like small plants that grow on moist surfaces and can be killed by painting with a treatment.

Installing after plastering will leave gaps for insects and lizards to crawl in. The plastering will seal all those gaps.
