Like the glass exterior but not the shape that way with a square building you can have an outdoor observation deck.

Beautiful piece of architecture and engineering, but I wish they would have built two instead of one. Being that the reflecting memorial pools are 31% smaller than the footprint of the actual towers, which was definitely disappointing, it ultimately left more room in the area. Looking at the entire WTC complex from above, they could have built a twin set of Freedom Towers and even staggered them diagonally like the originals without even affecting the pools. The current tower would have had to have been placed to the west of the reflecting pools instead of to the south in order to pull it off, but it was still possible. Despite being far more pleasing to the eye than the design of the original towers, the new tower is clearly unable to live up to their legacy, and I think two of them would have definitely made a difference. They could never truly take the place of the original towers, but people wouldn't constantly get that "there's something missing" feeling when looking toward or at the complex.

Similar rainfall event in Auckland, New Zealand (urban areas) caused widespread flooding. However, snow loading for buildings is not a factor in that region, so any rooftop mitigation on existing buildings is unlikely to happen. It will be interesting to see what direction is taken in future.

Obviously the new tower can never replicate the iconic nature of the twins. However, I like how they built a safe, simplistic building that commemorates the original height of the wtc as well as the year of independence.

How exciting to see that WSP, as a Design and Engineer source for World-wide development of cities and solutions, has such a people-centered approach. Not just people of today, but what are possible future needs for services which actually SERVE: Virtual Reality, as an example! Wonderful

It's an exciting project in such a key location. I do wish the architects had saved the façade of the historic exhibition hall and integrated that into the design. It's a shame to see a loss of local history. Good architecture should always take into account the context of a building, and should pay homage to local culture and history

What a fantastic and inspirational project, I can see how the construction of that bridge could literally be life changing to so many. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project! I'd love to be involved in something like this that can have such intergenerational impact.

This is my 2nd favorite building of all time and my 1st best building that is still standing today. I think this tower is beautiful and looks amazing, my only two faults are 1, there is only one of them whilst the original had two and 2, rebuilding the original Twin Towers as they were from the outside would have been better and New York would have claimed it's beautiful skyline again, this is just my personal opinion. However, I do appreciate the New Tower been built and I understand that a lot of compromises were made so that everyone got a bit of what they wanted in the end, including myself. We got a new tower, a new mall, a memorial for the original Twin Towers so I am grateful for this beautiful area and been able to remember all those who died on that awful day when we lost our beautiful towers.

I am very, very glad that not only was the design future proofed, taking into account all the lessons learned, including the unfortunate failures the attack brought to light. I'm also glad that building standards in general in New York City also were raised to match. Never Again, is not just a motto for our intelligence services and military, it's a promise to all those who live and work in towers from now on.

I wouldn’t say Freedom tower is iconic. Outside of its height, it’s rather unremarkable in the skyline of NYC. Twin Towers were much more of a presence.

Just worth adding that KPI's determine financial incentives and penalties, one also needs to consider how the performing party can be expected to ensure least negative, most positive impact. One good case was some years ago in Melbourne Australia when the new operator, Metro Trains Melbourne, had performance KPI for running trains to schedule, with the result that trains that were running little bit late simply skipped stopping at stations.
