You should never turn on the PA (in your video: the active speakers) before turning on everything else. Due to the possibility of power spikes (also known as voltage spikes) when turning on any devices, some electricity might run all the way through the signal path, in this case get amplified and in worst case literally blow up your speakers. That's why you always turn on your devices following along the signal chain: players, laptops, interfaces and stuff like that first; then peripheral equipment like PA controllers, equalizers, (active) crossovers; amplifiers and stuff like that come last. That way, even if a power spike might occur, the equipment to come up will not take harm. Bear in mind, even if it may only cause a "PLOP" on your speakers in your living room, you may very well give people a new haircut and/or cause tens of thousands worth a damage if this happens in a venue with a sound reinforcement of several ten thousand watts. If not worse. Plus you may seem completely dull and unprofessional if you cause such a big bang. There's a huge exception though: Let's say you come up to a sound system which is already up and running (in which case you cannot or don't want to switch off the hole bunch of stuff first), make sure to at least turn down all the gain/trim potis and channel faders or, even better, press the according mute button. This is a safe way to let's say connect an additional CD player to the DJ mixer or things like that. Finally, when it comes to shuting down the sound system, you want do it in the opposite direction for the same reason: switch off amplifiers first, peripherals after that, and players/laptops/interfaces come last. Keep that in mind at all times when connecting your stuff to any sound system. Have a good one.

I got mine a few weeks ago. Most frustrating thing is the default 256 sample buffer setting. You must use the dedicated utility to change it. This can result in the dreaded "No Audio Signal" error on the jog screens. I had to uninstall the utility, connect the controller, reinstall the utility and then make changes. For most users a sample buffer of 1024 is going to be required. I was getting regular audio clipping at 256, and occasionally at 512, 1024 has fixed it entirely. Running Rekordbox on a Dell Latitude 5285 (i5-7200U, 16GB, 1TB M.2) that meets the recommended system requirements.
