Healing is a luxury which my immigrant parents never had. My immigrant parents immigrated from a country that had been occupied and came to America speaking and writing zero to little English. My father worked two jobs (kitchen cook and janitor) then later he, my mom and us kids worked in a small mom and pop restaurant. As neared retirement, I had the financial luxury to work on healing from traumas (sudden passing of my mom and weeks thereafter my workplace shamed and traumatized me on exploiting the sudden death of my mom)

There is no information left to know, it is time for the work of personal transformation, but people don't want to change.... Thank you for that perspective Prentis! This reminded me of the work of Lindsay Gibson about emotionally immature people. At times it feels like we are living in an emotionally immature society where no matter what you say, if people don't want to understand, they cannot understand you and if people want to understand, there is nothing you can say that will keep them from understanding you. We live in a time where we need to either make the choice to understand and change or live in the consequences of stagnation. I deeply appreciate your candor and straight forward perspective!

We may all read and think we know, but we don't really understand until we are elbows deep in the practice. I’m scared of Saturn Neptune meeting at the beginning of Aries. In my view it underscores the Republican coup in America and the Big Lie that Trump initiated. The way that Trump’s strategy of getting what he wants being the formula by which this country is taken over. I think Neptune can be so insidious; I think the Nazis were of a Neptune conjunct Pluto nature. I feel that the billionaires who have bought the SCOTUS and our politicians are so aggressively working to install Trump because he is a tool they can use. At this point I believe there are so many Americans who know that the propaganda is a lie but they are riding this wave. Saturn conjunct Neptune seems to represent a new world order based on lies in the sign of beginnings and war. The Heritage Foundation and their plan for 2025 seems to fit this too well. I can even see the possibility that the internet will be wiped clean of truth and substituted with propaganda similar to other places that want to control. Pluto in Aquarius seems to represent a threat to humanity. I am puzzled by the sparkling aspects between Uranus, Neptiune, Pluto coming up tho. I am afraid of how my country feels now. I am 50 and I haven’t ever felt so threatened in my life.

I agree about her claim about colonized mental health strategies but I wish she cuold also see that the group she calls as queers is also the result of colonized mentality of gender identity

Very interesting insights. But his political idealisation of anything on the Left renders him so blind to the Shadow of the Left, that he wouldn't recognise it, even if it appeared to him in drag. He obviously has a devaluing bias towards Saturnal energies, as of the nebulous and sublimatory forces of "compassion" couldn't possibly lead to Icarus' wings catching fire.

A very insightful and helpful discussion of the 2 major conjunctions, and also I really appreciated the comment on why conjunctions are more rigorous and universally applicable than transits through signs. One suggestion for Richard, for a non-partisan, approach, which is not divisive, and which will approximately double your audience, rather than appeal to only about 40-50% of the population. Are there any political conservatives associated with CIIS? Are any astrologers political conservatives? This is a suggest to enhance tolerance, inclusiveness, and equity. Finally, my wife and I were really happy with what Richard said about Neptune's Heaven descending on Saturn's Earth, as we have a list of 90 (and increasing) spiritual visionaries (mostly clairvoyants, with some astrologers), who forecast ascension, a golden age, beginning to manifest widely in the global mainstream soon, in our lifetime, with 38 of them stating 2025-2030, which supports Richard's stimulating words about the Neptune Saturn conjunction.

According to Indian rishis (seers), the planets are also causal. They say this because they directly perceived it, it was not mainly speculative or intellectually derived. Archetypes, Plato's forms/ideas, and several stages of Western philosophy all are visions and experiences and understanding of the Veda.

I read Cosmos and Psyche years ago but I still go back to it regularly, I appreciate Richard’s subtle approach to astrology as a psychologist, it certainly makes it easier to explain the « impact » of the planets to those who vilify astrology as ancient superstition. His approach of Pluto and the US Pluto return might be a little too optimistic, though…

i just lost my 41 year old sister, T north node/chiron conjuncted her mercury in aries while T uranus conjuncted her natal chiron in Taurus..it was sudden and devastating..
